Emergency request for help

Displaced persons in Islamabad due to Taliban take over in Swat
by
Mariam Khan
President
Pakistan Peoples Party
Human Rights WING

As the result of Taliban taking over of Swat there are over 20,000 families of people who have been dislodged from their homes and forced to seek shelter and protection in areas surrounding Islamabad and Rawalpindi. These families consisting of young children, women, old people and adults are living in extreme conditions as they have fled Swat fearing for their lives and persecution.

A skill development program is to hire educated women within these communities who can open up one room schools for displaced persons of their own communities and specifically for children. The quantity of beggar children is rising day by day because there is no income and they have nothing to eat.

This project must be started soon because the condition of these people gets worse with every passing day. We request you to help us accomplish our goal. If you would like further information then we can send you a comprehensive report.

Annual meeting of the Federation of Global Governments. Register now (no fees).
Annual meeting of the Federation of Global Governments
to be held August 21st, 2009, Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada
Register now (no fees to register).

This coming August 21st meeting of the Federation of Global Governments is crucial to everyone and every government in the world in search of a stable economy, justice without borders, essential services, and security for all life on our planet. The Federation offers all of that.

Civil society, also an important partnership of our organization, offers a humane solution to the global crisis we are seeing today. That's what's needed! That's what we want! No less! Leaders of the G8 nations and their corporate sponsors were caught destroying the economies of the world have met this month with 11 other nations and the EU leadership, they called their group "G20", and proposed to fix the financial system by giving trillions of dollars to banking institutions, the World Bank, the IMF, and those working, directly or indirectly, for the war industry. This is not a humane solution. It is more of the same that got humanity into this chaotic state we are living today.

The Agenda for the Federation's Annual Meeting contents the approval of several key factors to a better future, and you will be asked to discuss and to vote on everyone of them. Come to this important meeting! Tell us what you want! You can still vote through email. Send us an email concerning the issues of your choice here and vote. The GPA and these Ministries need to be an integral part of a nation government whenever possible and needed. The Global Government of a specific region of the world could possibly replace the need of a nation to have these Ministries as long as the nation agrees that the Global Government would manage the Ministries on its behalf. There is also the possibility of having a Global Government managing the Ministries on behalf of all participating nations.

Register now (no fees to register).

Please note that security of government leaders at the meeting will have to be organized and paid for by each government leader. At the moment we have no budget for security. And note that, as we have done every year so far, the Federation's meeting is an integrated part of Global Dialogue 2009 and, therefore, is included in the Program of Global Dialogue 2009. Schedule for the Global Community and Federation of Global Governments annual meeting The exact site of the meeting has not yet been decided, but it will be held August 21st, 2009, in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada.

Iceland, the developing world, and the West take note. This cancer is heading everywhere, courtesy of banker-imposed diktats, mainly from America and the UK. They insist Iceland impoverish its citizens by paying debts in ways (they'd) never follow even though the government has no way to do it. Wall Street and Western European bankers planned it and now ordered the government to sell off the nation's public domain, its natural resources and public enterprises to pay (its) financial gambling debts. Also, raise permanent taxes at the worst possible time, then suck the maximum wealth from the country leaving behind an empty hulk and impoverished, desparate population. It's called dystopia Merriam-Webster defines as: "an imaginary place where people lead dehumanized and often fearful lives, the opposite of utopia under conditions of deprivation, poverty, disease, violence, oppression, and terror, much like in Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four. Permanent debt bondage "is as deadly as outright military" defeat. Loss of livelihoods and assets leave people vulnerable to sickness, despair, and early deaths, much like what happened to post-Soviet Russia under Washington-imposed shock therapy.

Contrast this to how developed countries, like America, handle debt - by inflating (not deflating) their way out to pay it off with cheap (reduced purchasing power) money because inflation erodes its value. It's simple - by printing money and running budget deficits the way Washington did after Nixon closed the gold window in August 1971, ended the 1944 Bretton Woods Agreement, and no longer let dollars be backed by gold or converted into it in international markets. A new monetary system creates money like confetti, and lets us spend and live beyond our means, then have developing and indebted nations pay the price. Countries should not borrow in foreign currencies, instead monetize their own credit for domestic spending and investment. Iceland broke the cardinal rule of international finance: Never borrow in a foreign currency for credit that can freely be created at home. Governments can inflate their way out of domestic debt, not the foreign kind.

When foreign central banks receive dollars for their exports (or asset sales)," their choices are limited. Congress won't let them buy important domestic companies or resources, or get paid with US gold reserves. The alternative is buy Treasuries and mortgage-backed securities like Fannie and Freddie debt. Icelanders and other nations must remember that America is the world's largest debtor, and as Adam Smith explained in The Wealth of Nations - no nation ever repaid its debt, and he never envisioned one large as America's. We grow it by issuing paper for real assets and services.

Today's financial strategy is multilateral (with) the IMF (and World Bank) act(ing) as enforcer(s) for global creditors to appropriate the income of real estate, national infrastructure and industry" by masquerading as a helping hand and seducing borrowers to believe it. Here's how neo-feudal banking works. It doesn't create credit for manufacturing. Retained earnings and equity do it. It "create(s) credit primarily against (existing) collateral, and by so doing, "extract(s) money from the economy (and) undercuts industrial growth for "short-term speculative gains." This hegemony "took thousands of years to achieve, and it wasn't easy inducing nations into poverty through debt pyramiding as good economic strategy. It's like prescribing gorging as a way to lose weight or a junk food diet to stay healthy. Iceland made it worse by protecting the claims of creditors against debtors, including most wage-earners. As post-bubble home prices plunged, creditors held their own and even "strengthen(ed) their hand by increasing their take," thus making a bad situation worse. Its people own a shrinking equity in their homes vis-a-vis bankers having the lion's share. Its law shifts homeowners to Negative Equity, and it works by keeping people in the dark. But it's much the same in the US to hide the root cause of today's crisis - Wall Street/Washington's engineered housing and debt bubble fraud amounting to financial piracy of the greatest magnitude. In America, Iceland, and elsewhere it's turned "ownership" societies into "loanship" debt trap ones. Until recently, it was unthinkable to let economies be crippled by interest payments. Now it's de rigueur through clever manipulation to convince people and nations to go along with their own demise. For Iceland, its debt burden threatens its national identity and loss of its future the way Adam Smith explained - through bankruptcy when it's too great to repay. "Today, creditors and bondholders care about foreign economies only to the extent that they can charge (enough) interest (to) absorb their entire economic surplus." Getting it all is today's credo, and nothing too outlandish is irresponsible. Get in trouble. Socialism comes to the rescue, for bankers, not people or easy targets like Iceland.

April 17, 2009   Sea Levels Are Rising: It's Time to Decide Which Coastal Cities Are Worth Saving
by
Scott Thill
published in AlterNet: The Mix is the Message, Water
Ice cubes the size of American states are melting into the ocean; we face frightening scenarios and tough choices for coastal habitation.

Since April Fool's Day expired, there has been nothing but bad news about Earth's various ice shelves circulating through the news. Antarctica's Wordie and Larsen ice shelves? The first is simply gone, and the second is disappearing fast. How about the Connecticut-sized Wilkins shelf? It has fragmented into polar pieces after the ice tether holding it to the Antarctic peninsula snapped this week, signaling that the Earth is undergoing some profound changes. "This continued and often-significant glacier retreat is a wakeup call that change is happening," USGS glaciologist Jane Ferrigno explained in a joint United States Geological Survey and British Antarctic Survey on the melt. "Antarctica is of special interest, because it holds an estimated 91 percent of the Earth's glacier volume, and change anywhere in the ice sheet poses significant hazards to society." In other words, giant ice cubes the size of American states melting into the ocean should worry everyone on Earth living in a territory with a coast, and even those without. Several recommendations to attack the problem head-on, including obvious remedies like limitations on coastal development and abandonment of at-risk areas. We first need to ensure that all new developments integrate future sea-level rise into their designs. This should be done immediately. Communities must then conduct local analysis to determine what is at risk and what they want to protect. All stakeholders must be involved in this process. Seawalls may be appropriate in some areas. However, they do have adverse consequences. First, the footprint of the structure can result in a loss of beach. Second, seawalls fix the position of the shoreline, thereby drowning the beach in front of the structure and resulting in a loss of recreational opportunity and habitat.

A l’œuvre, citoyens
Du monde entier, soyons
Semons, cueillons
Partageons nos rêves de conciliation

Sœurs et frères riches de promesses
Construisons la paix, la sagesse
Apprenons à nos enfants leurs droits
En conscience, acceptons nos devoirs
Entre l’Orient et l’Occident
Aplanissons les différends
Reconnaissons nos différences
Nos héritages et nos souffrances
Vivons dignes, debout dans la lumière

A l’œuvre, citoyens
Du monde entier, soyons
Créons, marchons,
Et cultivons de vraies aspirations

Marchons ensemble solidaires
Femmes et hommes sur notre terre,
Ancrés aux espoirs de nos pères,
Puisant dans la force des mères,
Laissons les armements aux vestiaires,
Les cris les larmes au cimetière
De nos errances et de nos peines,
Du passé réparons les outrages
Guérissons des violences les dommages

A l’œuvre, citoyens
Du monde entier, soyons
Chantons, dansons,
Et affirmons notre libération

Portons aux ombres mortifères
La clarté des astres du ciel
Du dialogue et de l’amitié
Vérifions les heureux bienfaits
Sans souci de dresser des frontières
Ni soumissions, ni esclavages
Devenons justes et responsables
Gardons vivantes nos couleurs
Abondantes, des fruits, les saveurs

A l’œuvre, citoyens
Du monde entier, soyons
Avançons, résistons,
Libérons-nous de toutes oppressions

Faisons de la diversité
La richesse de l’humanité
D’un pas joyeux, nous progressons
Pour la beauté, la vie, nous créons
Du nord au sud et de l’est à l’ouest
Partout, protégeons la jeunesse
Des atteintes et blessures à l’enfance
Des pouvoirs, refusons toujours
Humiliations, mépris et arrogances

A l’œuvre, citoyens
Du monde entier, soyons
Veillons, voyons,
Avec largesse problèmes et solutions

La guerre est faillite annoncée
De l’humanité attachée
Aux quêtes des profits insensés
Et des pouvoirs démesurés
Au mépris des plus nobles vertus
Du concert des populations
Sans violence, nous apprenons
A nous distancer des tensions
A gérer les conflits et les haines

A l’œuvre, citoyens
Du monde entier, soyons
Aimons, parlons,
Embellissons nos villes, nos campagnes

Créons des harmonies fertiles
Exprimons-nous, communiquons
Aux générations en gestation,
Léguons la paix en héritage,
Laissons vivante, saine, féconde
Une planète où il fait bon
Respirer, inventer, agissons !
Cueillons dans nos jardins secrets
L’énergie du courage en partage

Du monde entier, soyons
Semons, semons
Et récoltons la paix pour les nations

A considerable amount of research and analysis has been undertaken on the issue of political Islam. This has helped to correct some simplistic and alarmist assumptions previously held in the West about the nature of Islamic values and intentions. It has been established that political Islam is like a changing landscape, deeply affected by a range of circumstances. But a debate on this topic often gets stuck on the simplistic question of, “Are Muslims democratic?” Western scholars have tried to present Islam as anti-democratic and inherently authoritarian. By misrepresenting Islam in this way they seek to prove that Islam has a set of values inferior to Western liberalism and is a barrier in the way of progress of civilizations. While Turkey and Malaysia set a fantastic example for nations around the world to see that democracy coexists with a great religion like Islam. The experience of both the above-mentioned countries reflects the fact that many Muslims, whether living in secular or formally Islamic states, see democracy as their main hope. Islam, like other faiths, is spiritual and is a code of conduct for over 1.4 billion people. The political aspects of Islam are derived from the Holy Quran and Sunnah, Muslim history and, sometimes, from elements of political movements outside Islam. The political concepts in Islam also emanate from the leadership by successors of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) known as Caliphs, Islamic law, the duty of rulers to seek shura or consultation from their subjects and the importance of rebuking unjust rulers. Muslim scholars agree that Islamic values are compatible with democracy. According to them, the principle of shura (consultative decision-making) is the source of democratic ethics in Islam. It is based on three basic teachings. First, that all persons in any given society are equal. Second, public issues are best decided by the majority view. And third, the three other principles of justice, equality and human dignity, which constitute Islam’s moral core, are best realized in personal as well as public life under governance by a shura. Ijma (consensus) that is acceptance of a matter by a specified group of people is another source that relates to democracy. All the Muslims of all the times, according to some Muslim scholars, may be involved in the process of building consensus. Finally, the model set by Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) reveals how democratic practices and theories are attuned to an Islamic state. The first Islamic state based on a social contract was constitutional in character and had a ruler who ruled with the written consent of all citizens of the state. Demonstrating democratic spirit, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) chose to prepare a historically specific constitution based on the eternal and transcendent principles revealed to him but he also sought the consent of all who would be affected by its implementation. This means that in a democracy, Muslims and non-Muslims are equal citizens of an Islamic state. According to many religious scholars, the Constitution of Madinah established a pluralistic state, a community of communities. The principles of equality, consensual governance and pluralism were central to that concept and practice.

April 16, 2009   1,500 Indian Farmers Commit Mass Suicide: Why We Are Complicit in these Deaths
by
Tara Lohan
published in AlterNet: The Mix is the Message, Water
Crop failure may have pushed farmers over the edge, but American companies have been leading them to the cliff for years.

The headline has been hard to ignore. Across the world press, news media have announced that over 1,500 farmers in the Indian state of Chattisgarh committed suicide. The motive has been blamed on farmers being crippled by overwhelming debt in the face of crop failure. Shankara, like millions of other Indian farmers, had been promised previously unheard of harvests and income if he switched from farming with traditional seeds to planting GM seeds instead. Beguiled by the promise of future riches, he borrowed money in order to buy the GM seeds. But when the harvests failed, he was left with spiraling debts -- and no income. So Shankara became one of an estimated 125,000 farmers to take their own life as a result of the ruthless drive to use India as a testing ground for genetically modified crops. And no company has been as notorious in the business as the U.S. agra-giant Monsanto. Here's the way it works in India. In the central region of Vidarbha, for example, Monsanto salesmen travel from village to village touting the tremendous, game-changing benefits of Bt cotton, Monsanto's genetically modified seed sold in India under the Bollgard® label. The salesmen tell farmers of the amazing yields other Vidarbha growers have enjoyed while using their products, plastering villages with posters detailing "True Stories of Farmers Who Have Sown Bt Cotton." Old-fashioned cotton seeds pale in comparison to Monsanto's patented wonder seeds, say the salesmen, as much as an average old steer is humbled by a fine Jersey cow. Part of the trick to Bt cotton's remarkable promise, say the salesmen, is that Bollgard® was genetically engineered in the lab to contain bacillus thuringiensis, a bacterium that the company claims drastically reduces the need for pesticides. The catch is that Bollgard® and Roundup® cost real money. And so Vidarbha's farmers, somewhat desperate to grow the anemic profit margin that comes with raising cotton in that dry and dusty region, have rushed to both banks and local moneylenders to secure the cash needed to get on board with Monsanto. Of a $3,000 bank loan a Vidarbha farmer might take out, as much as half might go to purchasing a growing season's worth of Bt seeds. And the same goes the next season, and the next season after that. In traditional agricultural, farmers can recycle seeds from one harvest to plant the next, or swap seeds with their neighbors at little or no cost. But when it comes to engineered seeds like Bt cotton, Monsanto owns the tiny speck of intellectual property inside each hull, and thus controls the patent. And a farmer wishing to reuse seeds from a Monsanto plant must pay to relicense them from the company each and every growing season. The cycle of debt continues into a downward spiral. And to be sure, water problems are adding to the crisis.

Conclusion

The only alternative of ameliorating the lot of these people is active cooperation of Afghanistan and Pakistan. A holistic and integrated plan for tribal development is needed. International community must shoulder the responsibility of bringing these two countries nearer to each other despite of lingering suspicions between the two neighbours.

There are many irritants between the two countries and these are rooted in past and recent history. However, it is heartening to note that both Afghanistan and Pakistan established a tripartite commission with the US government on 17 June 2003 as one of the partners to discuss security matters and other related subjects. The meetings of the Commission are regularly taking place alternately in Kabul and Islamabad. The establishment of the tripartite commission is in line with the 11th Article of the 1921 Anglo-Afghan Treaty, which stipulates that "two high contracting parties having mutually satisfied themselves each regarding the goodwill of the other, and especially regarding their benevolent intentions towards the tribes residing, close to their respective boundaries, hereby undertake each to inform the other in future of any military operations of major importance which may appear necessary for the maintenance of order among the frontier tribes residing within their respective spheres, before the commencement of such operations." The establishment of tripartite commission augurs well for the future relations of the two countries. This paves way for cooperation in other areas, including the development and progress of the tribes residing close to the border. It is widely alleged, not without any reason, that Pakistan has actually violated the sanctity of the border by establishing security posts inside the Afghan territory. This is the duty of international community, specifically Americans, to rectify the situation before the misgivings and suspicions lead to acrimony.

Theological Teachings

From theological teachings, we learned that when one uses weapons to kill others not only the one that uses the weapons is guilty of murder, but also the one who provided the killer with such weapons. If this is a fact, why is it the clergymen in the United States do not bring to the attention of their respective congregations this moral fact? Why is it that such clergymen never warn their congregations of their moral obligation not to work for the weapons industry?

There have never been clergymen in America who reminded the members of their congregations that those who manufacture and procure such weapons share the same identical guilt of those that afterwards use them to murder many innocent people, along with the destruction of their homes. This may be due to the fact that such clergymen have created a new form of spirituality with a new set of beliefs, which amounts to the emergence of a cosmetic religion.

Such clergymen may render themselves pleasing to some political figures, especially those with financial interest in the transaction of weapons and the waging of wars. However, clergymen, in virtue of their position, have a moral obligation to provide effective guidelines to people relative to the observance of God’s Ten Commandments. If clergymen were to do their job properly, they may become valuable in replacing the culture of war with the culture of peace.

The creation of a cosmetic religion is not pleasing to God at all. The Pharisees did just that at the time of Jesus Christ who did not hesitate to call them hypocrites. He also compared them to whitewashed tombs, which looked clean from the outside but stunk from the inside. Americans need to have as spiritual leaders clergymen who are vociferous in their condemnation of wars and in the continued manufacture and sales of weapons.

Last but not least, it is encouraging for us to know that we do have a few courageous clergymen in the U.S.A. who joined peace-workers in the streets of the nation to protest against armaments and wars, especially against nuclear weapons. Some ended up being put in jail but, like their Master Teacher of Nazareth, their day of triumph seems to be approaching sooner or later.

When it comes to democracy and freedom, the United States has proved to be, perhaps, the most vocal nation in the world. This constitutes a great irony, which cannot be taken lightly. As St. Thomas Aquinas well put it, nemo dat quod non habet – no one can give something that one does not have. The sooner that all Americans and the nations of the world come to see this with crystal clarity, the sooner they could take appropriate and adequate precaution in dealing with the U.S. government, which is ultimately held responsible and accountable for the proliferation of weapons and the continued promotion of wars everywhere.

They can use "universal jurisdiction," often used to prosecute foreign nationals for crimes that shock the conscience of the global community.

A Spanish court has initiated criminal proceedings against six former officials of the Bush administration. John Yoo, Jay Bybee, David Addington, Alberto Gonzales, William Haynes and Douglas Feith may face charges in Spain for authorizing torture at Guantánamo Bay. If arrest warrants are issued, Spain and any of the other 24 countries that are parties to European extradition conventions could arrest these six men when they travel abroad. Does Spain have the authority to prosecute Americans for crimes that didn't take place on Spanish soil? The answer is yes. It's called "universal jurisdiction." Universal jurisdiction is a well-established theory that countries, including the United States, have used for many years to investigate and prosecute foreign nationals for crimes that shock the conscience of the global community. It provides a critical legal tool to hold accountable those who commit crimes against the law of nations, including war crimes and crimes against humanity. Without universal jurisdiction, many of the most notorious criminals would go free. Countries that have used this as a basis to prosecute the most serious of crimes should be commended for their courage. They help to create a just world in which we all seek to live. Universal jurisdiction complements, but doesn't supersede, national prosecutions. So if the United States were investigating the Bush officials, other countries would refrain from doing so. Evidence that Bush officials set a policy that led to the torture of prisoners at Guantánamo continues to emerge. Gonzales met with other officials in the White House and authorized torture, including waterboarding.

There will be far more sympathy in the future for those who took to the streets and rioted outside the G20 than for people who stayed home.

Many commentators seemed bemused that the protesters focused on the climate crunch as much as the credit crunch. What's it got to do with a G20 meeting on reviving the global economy? Why wave banners saying "Nature Doesn't Do Bail-Outs" today? Because both crises have their roots in the same ideology -- and both have the same solution. We are facing a collapsed economy and a rapidly warming world because an extreme ideology has dominated world affairs for decades. The climate is currently going the same way as the banks. Last month, the world's climate scientists gathered in Copenhagen to explain we are facing "devastating consequences" -- not in some distant future, but in my lifetime and yours. Unless we swerve fast, we are soon going to hit global temperatures that no human being has ever lived through. We don't have much time. By 2015, we will have belched so much carbon into the atmosphere that we will cross the Point of No Return: the climate will start to unravel as all its natural cooling processes breaking down one by one, guaranteeing we become hotter and hotter. Once we hit an increase of 4 degrees, much of the world will become uninhabitable, and there will be vast wars for what remains. The distinguished environmental scientist James Lovelock warns that climate changes tend not to happen gradually, inch-by-inch. They suddenly flip -- in our case from a cool world to a very hot one. He believes the hotter new world we are bringing into being could support, at best, a billion people. That would require 84 percent of the world's population to die off.

That's why the protesters were talking about the climate. It should be the number one issue at every global meeting. And the way out of the climate crunch and the credit crunch is the same -- a Green New Deal. And it gets better: it turns out a green stimulus is best for the economy. A major study by the University of Massachusetts compared the effects of an old-style stimulus that simply gives people more cash to a green stimulus. They found that a green stimulus creates four times more jobs, and three times more "good jobs," defined as those that pay more than $16 per hour. Why? Because a green stimulus is labor-intensive: you spend more money on people and less on machines. And the money you spend stays at home, making it easier to sell: you can only insulate a loft in Hull in Hull; you can only build a wind farms in the Mid-West in the Mid-West.

April 6 2009   Oil Has Peaked: Now Begins the Transition

We have officially entered the post-oil age in which the transition to lower energy lives is inevitable.

As The Oil Drum pointed out last week, oil has peaked. We have officially entered the post-oil age in which the transition to lower energy lives is inevitable. This incredible energy source fuelled the rapid developments of the 20th century, whether in technology, industry, food yield or transport, and is also the source of the plastics and many synthetic materials that are everywhere around us. Ninety-five percent of all goods in shops involve the use of oil, and ninety-five percent of the UK's food is now oil-dependent. Just to farm a single cow and deliver it to market requires six barrels of oil, enough to drive a car from New York to Los Angeles.

As oil becomes more expensive and less available it affects the price and availability of the products and services throughout the economy that are dependent on it, as well as the jobs tied into these products and services. And since oil features in the supply chain of almost every company, the health of the national and global economy is also threatened as they all find their costs increasing within an economy whose total productive capacity is decreasing.

In other words, the growth of our economy is dependent on a growing net energy supply, and for the first time in centuries it is unlikely to have it. A real cause for concern is that our economic system as currently designed fails without continued growth, leading to bankruptcies, defaults on loans and mortgages, mass unemployment, homelessness and a myriad of other unpleasant consequences.

Peak oil is no longer simply a future problem. While richer countries have been able to pay the increasing prices demanded for oil globally, those with less money have been struggling to afford the supplies they rely on.

Recent oil price increases have had devastating effects on many of the world's poor countries, some of which now spend as much as six times as much on fuel as they do on health. Others spend twice the money on fuel as they do on poverty alleviation. And in still others, the foreign exchange drain from higher oil prices is five times the gain from recent debt relief. Of the world's 50 poorest countries, 38 are net importers of oil and 25 import all of their oil requirements.

The possible future America was warned of in that 2005 Department of Energy report, with its abrupt and revolutionary economic, social and political impacts, has already been unfolding elsewhere. Outright energy shortages and deadly fuel riots have been seen across the world, and the peak oil predicament underlying them is only worsening as time goes by.

Paper to be presented at the Annual Meeting of the Federation of Global Government, August 2009.
Paper title:
Atenquique's environmental and economic development shrinkage in Globalization era

This paper focuses on the effects the transfer of ownership from a state-owned Paper Mill Company to a corporate private ownership has had on environmental and economic shrinkage in Atenquique. This transfer was the result of the ongoing economic process of globalization, after the industrial boom of the paper mills during the second half of the last century. The paper also focuses on how the employees of this Paper Mill Company live and how they have been affected by globalization and how they feel about their paper mill’s new corporate owners. The methodology used was descriptive and exploratory. A sample of ten workers at the company who lived in Atenquique was chosen for an interview. After being inhabited the town of Atenquique developed in terms of population, society and economy. On the other hand the Industrial Company of Atenquique grew during the period when it was a property of the Mexican State. After the company’s privatization, the town started to decline and shrink in three above-mentioned variables. The impact on the environmental and economic development has initiated the shrinking and declining of Atenquique and the surrounding cities and towns.

March 28 2009   The Population Debate Is Screwed Up
by
Laurie Mazur
published in AlterNet: The Mix is the Message, Environment
Debaters on population usually take two sides: either they see it as a huge problem facing humanity, or that it's a non-issue. They're both wrong.

Slowing population growth is not all we must do. Continued reliance on fossil fuels could easily overwhelm the carbon reductions from slower growth. Rapacious consumption in the affluent countries drives environmental destruction worldwide; changing our own systems of production and consumption must be the top priority if we are to preserve a habitable planet.

Slowing population growth won't eradicate poverty or feed the hungry, either; that will require a wholesale rethinking of development, trade and other economic policies.

But slower population growth could help give us a fighting chance to meet these challenges. It could reduce pressure on natural systems that are reeling from stress. And it could help give families and nations a chance to make essential investments in education, health care and sustainable economic development.

In the last half-century, we've learned a lot about why we should slow population growth, and we've also learned how. We now know that the best way to slow population growth is not with top-down "population control," but by ensuring that all people are able to make real choices about sexuality and reproduction.

That means access to voluntary family planning and other reproductive-health information and services. It means education and employment opportunities, especially for women. And it means tackling the deep inequities -- gender and economic -- that prevent people from making meaningful choices about childbearing. Each of these interventions is vitally important in its own right as a matter of human rights and social justice. Together, they will help shape a sustainable, equitable future.

Moreover, slowing population growth by the ethical means outlined above is surprisingly cost-effective. For example, the developed countries' share of the cost to provide reproductive health services for every woman on earth is $20 billion -- about what the bankers on Wall Street gave themselves in bonuses last year.

As the wealthier nations cease investing in the developing world or acquiring its exports, the crisis is hitting them with a vengeance.

While the economic contraction is apparently slowing in the advanced industrial countries and may reach bottom in the not-too-distant future, it's only beginning to gain momentum in the developing world, which was spared the earliest effects of the global meltdown. But now, as the wealthier nations cease investing in the developing world or acquiring its exports, the crisis is hitting them with a vengeance. On top of this, conditions are deteriorating at a time when severe drought is affecting many key food-producing regions and poor farmers lack the wherewithal to buy seeds, fertilizers, and fuel. The likely result: A looming food crisis in many areas hit hardest by the global economic meltdown. The greatest worry is that most of the gains achieved in eradicating poverty over the last decade or so will be wiped out, forcing tens or hundreds of millions of people from the working class and the lower rungs of the middle class back into the penury from which they escaped. Equally worrisome is the risk of food scarcity in these areas, resulting in widespread malnutrition, hunger, and starvation. All this is sure to produce vast human misery, sickness, and death, but could also result in social and political unrest of various sorts, including riot, rebellion, and ethnic strife.

As these effects ripple through the developing world and millions upon millions of people face increasingly harsh conditions, social and political unrest of all forms will increase. Such unrest, involving angry protests over plants closings, mass layoffs, and government austerity measures, has already erupted in Europe, Russia, and China, and now threatens to spread to other areas of the world. Until now, such disorder has been limited to urban riots and rock-throwing incidents, but it is easy to imagine far more violent forms of turmoil -- including the outbreak of armed rebellion or civil strife. Economic deprivation is also spurring an increase in crime and piracy in certain areas.

President Barack Obama is making the Afghan War Obama’s Afghan War. Careful analysis of UN mortality statistics reveals that 46,000 Afghans have died avoidably in the first 40 days of the Obama presidency, including 32,250 infant deaths due to US war crimes. On 27 March 2009 Obama unveiled a new strategy for Occupied Afghanistan and robot-bombed Pakistan. Obama, who has already ordered a surge of more than 17,000 additional U.S. soldiers and Marines to Afghanistan, promised another 4,000 “trainer” troops, taking the total to more than 55,000. Another 30,000 soldiers from various allied and NATO nations, including 2,500 from Canada and 1,000 from Australia, are also deployed in Afghanistan. The initial “justification” for the War on Afghanistan was refusal of the mostly Pashtun Taliban Afghan Government to hand over the US-alleged master-mind of the 9-11 atrocity, Osama bin-Laden, to the US, although the Afghan Government offered to such a hand-over to a third party, noting that the US refuses to hand over alleged US war criminals to the International Criminal Court. One can estimate that 327,000 Occupied Afghan under-5 year old infants die each year under US Alliance occupation, 90% avoidably and due to US Alliance war crimes i.e. 0.9 x 327,000 = 294,300 avoidable Occupied Afghan infant deaths yearly, 806 deaths daily and 40 days x 806 infant deaths/day = 32,250 avoidable Afghan under-5 infant deaths so far in the first 40 days and nights of the Obama Administration. 32,500 Afghan under-5 infant deaths corresponds to 32,250/0.7 = 46,000 avoidable Afghan deaths due to Obama. With 46,000 Afghan avoidable deaths in 40 days to his credit, Obama has already vastly exceeded the US-alleged Muslim-origin non-state terrorist body count of 7,000 total Western deaths over 40 years. Who is the worse terrorist, Obama or Osama? Obama already wins hands down as the worse terrorist by an enormous margin. With Obama backing continuing foreign occupations of Haiti, Somalia, Diego Garcia, Palestine, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, extending US bombing of Pakistan and now permitting US or Israeli bombing of Sudan, Obama is set to take over the mantle from George W. Bush for being the World’s worst terrorist.

As the permafrost in Siberia melted, growing methane emissions could accelerate climate change. But even she was not expecting such a rapid change. Lakes in Siberia are five times bigger than when I measured them in 2006. It's unprecedented. This is a global event now, and the inertia for more permafrost melt is increasing. Changes in ocean currents, for instance, could disrupt the Asian monsoon, and nearly two billion people rely on those rains to grow their food. As if that wasn't bad enough, it is also possible that positive feedback from the release of methane from melting permafrost could lead to runaway warming. The danger is that if too much methane is released, the world will get hotter no matter how drastically we slash our greenhouse gas emissions. Recent studies suggest that emissions from melting permafrost could be far greater than once thought. What is certain is that the Arctic is warming faster than any other place on Earth. While the average global temperature has risen by less than 1 °C over the past three decades, there has been warming over much of the Arctic Ocean of around 3 °C. In some areas where the ice has been lost, temperatures have risen by 5 °C. This intense warming is not confined to the Arctic Ocean. It extends south, deep into the land masses of Siberia, Alaska, Canada, Greenland and Scandinavia, and to their snowfields, ice sheets and permafrost. In 2007, the North American Arctic was more than 2 °C warmer than the average for 1951 to 1980, and parts of Siberia over 3 °C warmer. In 2008, most of Siberia was 2 °C warmer than average. Changes in wind patterns may accelerate the warming even further. Loss of summer sea ice means more heat is absorbed in the ocean, which is given back to the atmosphere in early winter, which changes the wind patterns, which favours additional sea ice loss. The changing winds might also be to blame for some of the cold and snowy weather in North America and China in recent winters, Overland says. Unusual poleward flows of warm air over Siberia have displaced cold air southwards on either side. The rapid warming in the Arctic means that a global temperature rise of 3 °C, likely this century, could translate into a 10 °C warming in the far north. Permafrost hundreds of metres deep will be at risk of thawing out. This is where things go global. The Arctic is not just a reflective mirror that is cracking up. It is also a massive store of carbon and methane, locked into the frozen soils and buried in icy structures beneath the ocean bed. A quarter of the land surface of the northern hemisphere contains permafrost, permanently frozen soil, water and rock. In places, deep permafrost that formed during the last ice age, when the sea level was much lower, extends far out under the ocean, beneath the seabed. Large areas of permafrost are already starting to melt, resulting in rapid erosion, buckled highways and pipelines, collapsing buildings and "drunken" forests. The real worry, though, is that permafrost contains organic carbon in the form of long-dead plants and animals. Some of it, including the odd mammoth, has remained frozen for tens of thousands of years. When the permafrost melts, much of this carbon is likely to be released into the atmosphere. The carbon content of permafrost to about 1600 billion tonnes - roughly a third of all the carbon in the world's soils and twice as much as is in the atmosphere. There may be as much as 100 billion tonnes of this carbon could be released by thawing this century, based on standard scenarios. If that all emerged in the form of methane, it would have a warming effect equivalent to 270 years of carbon dioxide emissions at current levels. It's a kind of slow-motion time bomb. The loss of Arctic sea ice could lead to the release of ever more methane from permafrost and methane hydrates. That in turn would make a dramatic reduction in the strength of the ocean conveyor sometime this century increasingly likely, which could lead to abrupt changes in the Asian monsoon.

The world bourgeoisie is beginning to consider the consequences of the huge deficit spending and money-printing operations that the Obama administration is using to fund its bailouts of Wall Street and major banks. As these policies increasingly raise questions about the value of the US dollar, commentators are in particular pondering the desirability and implications of a diminished international role for the American currency. The administration's printing or borrowing of trillions of dollars that it hands out to Wall Street and major US banks has undermined confidence in the dollar, the currency in which most international trade is conducted. Even more startlingly, the Obama administration's statements fail to address or explain the growing calls for new currency systems, and particularly the rapidly escalating tensions between the US and China. China owns currency reserves worth $2 trillion, two thirds of which are held directly in US dollars, making it the largest foreign holder of US currency. These funds are largely invested in US Treasury bonds and government-guaranteed debts of mortgage agencies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. By vastly increasing the supply of US dollars on international markets, all tend to push down their value and that of China's dollar holdings. On March 23, Zhou made his proposal to end the US dollar's role as the global reserve currency. Concern was not limited to China, however. Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek, whose government holds the EU presidency, baldly labeled US policy "a road to hell." Washington is forecasting a $1.75 trillion budget deficit in 2009 and a $1.17 trillion deficit in 2010. Topolanek noted that US government borrowing takes up so much of globally available funds that other borrowers, such as European governments, would not be able to raise funds on global capital markets. We may have a situation in which major US creditors such as China refuse to lend to the US government, forcing Washington to cut spending. The result would be a truly explosive social situation, as the US government told the population it no longer had money to fund social spending, after trillions of dollars had already been handed out to the banks and the super-rich.

Is the US dollar’s status as world reserve currency threatened by the debt monetization and multi-year, multi-trillion dollar issuance of new Treasuries? The United States has become an import-dependent country. The US is dependent on imports for energy, manufactured goods including clothes and shoes, and advanced technology products. If the US dollar loses its reserve currency status, the US will not be able to pay for its imports. The ensuing crisis would dwarf the current one. Obama’s advisers believe that the US can monetize debt and issue new debt endlessly, because America’s capital markets are the deepest and most liquid. The dollar is strong, Obama said at his press conference. But already cracks and strains are appearing. To avoid a crisis of this magnitude, the US needs to focus on saving the dollar as reserve currency. As I previously emphasized, this requires reducing US budget and trade deficits. Despite the near-term budget costs of ending the occupation of Iraq and the war in Afghanistan, terminating these pointless military adventures would produce immediate large out-year budget savings. Closing many foreign military bases and cutting a gratuitously large military budget would produce more out-year savings. The Obama administration’s belief that it can continue with Bush’s wars of aggression while it engages in a massive economic bailout indicates a lack of seriousness about America’s predicament. Rome eventually understood that its imperial frontiers exceeded its resources and pulled back. This realization has yet to dawn on Washington. More budget savings could come from a different approach to the financial crisis. The entire question of bailing out private financial institutions needs rethinking. The probability is that the bailouts are not over. The commercial real estate defaults are yet to present themselves. Would it be cheaper for government to buy the shares of the banks and AIG at the current low prices than to pour trillions of taxpayers’ dollars into them in an effort to drive up private share prices with public money? The Bush/Paulson bailout plan of approximately $800 billion has been followed a few months later by the Obama/Geithner stimulus-bailout plan of another approximately $800 billion. Together it adds to $1.6 trillion in new Treasury debt, much of which might have to be monetized. Could this huge debt issue be avoided if the government took over the banks and netted out the losses between the constituent parts? A staid socialized financial sector run by civil servants is preferable to the gambling casino of greed-driven, innovative, unregulated capitalism operated by banksters who have caused crisis throughout the world. Perhaps the Federal Reserve should be socialized as well. The notion of an independent, privately-owned Federal Reserve system was never more than a ruse to get a national bank into place. Once the central bank is part of the state-owned banking system, the government can create money without having to accumulate a public debt that saddles taxpayers and future budgets with hundreds of billions of dollars in annual interest payments. If the Obama administration can think about socializing health care as a single-payer system, it should be able to think about socializing the banking system. Currently, Medicare is paid for by taxpayers, Medicare beneficiaries, healthy retirees, and doctors. Beneficiaries have to pay substantial premiums for supplemental coverage whether ill or healthy, and doctors are paid a pittance from the schedule of fixed prices. The insurers are the ones who make money, not the medical service providers. The single-payer system would shrink costs by the amount of the health insurance industry’s profits and the enormous paperwork and enforcement compliance costs. The trade deficit is even more difficult to address. The American economy lost much of its manufacturing leg to offshoring. It has now lost its real estate and financial sector legs. Real incomes for the average family have not increased. The consumer-demand-driven economy became dependent on the accumulation of consumer debt, which has reached its limit. When the production of goods and services for the domestic market is moved offshore, Americans lose income and the economy loses GDP. When the goods and services produced offshore return to be sold to Americans, they constitute imports that widen the trade deficit. The US finances its trade deficit by turning over to foreigners ownership of existing US assets and their future income streams, which, of course, increases the flow of income away from Americans. The claim that low prices in Wal-Mart compensate for all these costs is ridiculous. Nevertheless, the Obama administration, corporation executives, and the economics profession remain committed to offshoring. The claim, expressed by Obama at his press conference, that retraining programs are the solution to manufacturing and IT unemployment caused by offshoring is also ridiculous. For a decade the only source of American job growth has been domestic services that cannot be offshored, such as hospital orderlies, barbers, waitresses and bartenders. Retraining is simply a government subsidy to educational institutions, a subsidy that insures their continued support for offshoring. The enormous trade deficit that has been created by the pursuit of short-term corporate profits can only be closed in two ways. One is to stop the offshoring and to bring home the offshored production. Possibly, this could be done by replacing the corporate income tax with a tax based on whether value added to a company’s output occurs domestically or abroad. The other way the trade deficit can be closed is by the inability of Americans to pay for imports. If debt monetization wrecks the dollar and drives up import prices, Americans will have to learn to live with less imported energy and manufactured goods. American annual consumption would shrink by the amount of the trade deficit.

On Wall Street, that is. So hyped by advance fanfare, Timothy Geithner unveiled his Public-Private Investment Program (PPIP) on March 23, the latest in a growing alphabet soup of handouts topping $12.5 trillion and counting - so much in so many forms, in "gov-speak" language, with so many changing and moving parts, it's hard for experts to keep up let alone the public, except to sense something is very wrong. So what's next? "The Obama administration will be forced to go to Congress with yet another bailout proposal. (It's) hard to understand this plan as anything other than a last ditch effort to save Wall Street banks. (Obama) seems prepared to risk his presidency on their behalf" and odds are he'll lose. The wrong choices are trillions more in handouts, reckless money creation, dollar debasing, and an eventual inflation destroying the purchasing power for millions. So far, that's where Congress and Obama's money managers are heading us, and already the bill for their actions is past due.

Water supplies are at serious risk everywhere. This is the natural result of overpopulation, climate change, and the reckless consumption of our natural resources. One of the most reckless -- and disturbing -- aspects in my opinion is the commoditization of water. Think back 20, 30, or 40 years. When you were thirsty, you turned on the kitchen faucet and poured yourself a glass of water. You thought nothing of it. These days, I don't know many people who would drink the water from their kitchen faucet without at least filtering it first. I myself use a Brita water filter pitcher at home. But that's not convenient enough, or glamorous enough, for some people. So they buy their drinking water in bottles. By the case. I see it flying off the shelves every time I go to the supermarket. These same people who complained so loudly when gasoline prices hit $4 per gallon think nothing of paying $10 per gallon for their drinking water. And they won't listen to the fact that bottled water is no cleaner and no safer than tap water, and often comes from the very same sources. To them, carrying around a bottle of commercially sold water is a status symbol, just like their big, bloated, gas-guzzling SUVs. If it's expensive, then it must be better. And, by supporting the commercialization of water -- by willfully paying corporations for something that they could otherwise get for free -- they are compounding the problem. If water is something you have to pay for, then the poor will not be able to afford it. And, without clean water, it is impossible to survive.

That's why I support the effort to add a 31st article to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which would define water as a basic human right. Here is the text of the proposed article: "Everyone has the right to clean and accessible water, adequate for the health and well-being of the individual and family, and no one shall be deprived of such access or quality of water due to individual economic circumstance."

We have rallied together all over the world to protect our home, Earth. But this time we are not alone. We know it all! We know how everything works. And we will do whatever it takes to protect life on Earth. "We the Peoples", the Global Community, are the Earth revolutionaries, and we will protect life on Earth at all costs.

This is the main index for the Global Information Media (GIM) concerning activities of the Global Community.

GIM was organized with more than sixty sections. Each section allows everyone to participate in the Global Dialogue. You pick an issue, and you participate. All sections may contain any of the following information: abstracts, research papers, notes, outlines, videos and other works of art, posters, articles, letters, press releases, reports, and newsletters. They may also contain discussions, global dialogues, brain-storming exercises on issues, or just email messages from interested participants and groups.

We are delighted to receive new articles for future Newsletters from our readers. It is imperative that, if you give us permission to re-print, all or in part, you include all copyright verification of permission of quote. We do not have a copyright research expert to do this work.

Just so you all know we don't pay anyone, and we don't pay expenses. We do volunteer work for humanity. We expect volunteers to be responsible and accountable of all their actions. We do soft activism work. The Global Constitution shows us how to operate our organization. We follow Global Law as shown in the Global Constitution. All those who do volunteer work for us must become familliar with it and become 'global citizens'. We want our volunteers to be completely loyal to the Global Community and to the values and principles we promote.

The Editor.

Message from the Spiritual Leader of the Global Community

The world is in a state of perpetual turmoil. We are worlds within worlds orbiting in and through each other’s space. Our interactions with one another can be planned and executed in a caring, considerate manner so that all may exist and not destroy the other.

A good place to start this day would be to see the people living in far away places as we see our neighbors. Neighbors are people we should see as people very much like ourselves. Love your neighbors as yourself. Many scientists have shown that our genetic make-up as human beings are not that much different than that of many other life-forms. The reality is that we as people are not that much different from one another. Our education and upbringings are different and created cultural and religious differences. Conflicts originate often because of these cultural and religious differences.

My teaching for the day is to make the effort to understand what make us different from one another and find a way to appreciate those differences. We also have to make the effort of understanding other life-forms in Nature and appreciate the differences. Because of brain capacity, we dont expect other life-forms of understanding us, but we do have a moral responsibility of understanding them and appreciate the differences. God loves diversity in Nature and in Souls. God loves good Souls from all cultures and religions, and from all life. Yes there is a Soul in every living life-form and God loves them too.

Message from the President of Earth Government, the Federation of Global Governments

You may use the following short description of myself and the history of the organization. History of the Global Community Organization and Interim Earth Government Since its beginning in 1985, many accomplishments can be claimed by the Global Community: History of the Global Community organization and Earth Government

Short description and history of the Global Community, Earth Government and the Federation of Global Govewrnments

The Global Community organization, Earth Government and the Federation of Global Governments were founded in 1985 in Calgary, Canada by Germain Dufour, Prophete of God, Spiritual Leader and President, and further developed through Global Parliament meetings. Later on in 1990s he was joined by his wife, Virginie, in the developing of many global concepts. Symbiotical relationships were defined to show the path for a better world. The Federation was formed to replace the United Nations. Its basic proposal is a de-centralized global government. A Global Government offers essential services to the people where it operates and the Federation main function is to serve all people and help in this process with the formation of Global Ministries to protect all life on our planet. Essential services to the people of each member nation are now the most important global rights on the Scale of Global Rights and are protected by the Global Protection Agency (GPA) of each member nation whose function is to enforce Global Law as defined in the Global Constitution. The Scale is the fundamental guide to Global Law which itself includes legislation covering all essential aspects of human activities. That is how we will bring about the event of Peace amongst us all and give security to all people, all life on Earth.

As a first step to getting help, all nations can and should approve those first three sections on the Scale of Global Rights. Scale of Global Rights The approval would supersede the political and physical borders of participating member nations. The Global Protection Agency (GPA) would have the approval from all member nations to give immediate help, bypassing normal government protocols. Somewhat like an emergency unit but at the global level. That is what those first three sections mean. They represent an efficient and immediate emergency response to help.

First, participating member nations need to give their approval to the Global Protection Agency ( GPA).

The GPA is a global organization much like the World Trade Organization (WTO) for trade between nations, the World Health Organization (WHO) for health, or the European Union, North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), South American Community of Nations (SACON) for trade and economics. The GPA offers an efficient emergency response to help. The GPA is a short term solution, an immediate and efficient response to help.

There are also long term solutions. As with the short term solution, the most significant long term solution is also related to the Scale of Global Rights. The Scale was entrenched in the Global Constitution and is thus the fundamental guide to Global Law. Now the Scale of Global Rights is a long term solution and is also a part of the Global Movement to Help of the Global Community. The Scale was designed to help all life on Earth. What would be preferable is that nations unite amongst themselves to help.

Over time, we have seen the creation of the United Nations, the European Union, the South American Community of Nations, and the North American Free Trade Agreement. Except for the UN, these organizations are mainly concerned with trade and economics. The Global Community offers a more meaningful union in the form of nine or more Global Governments. For instance the South American Community of Nations can be a Global Government by simply accepting the Global Constitution as a way of dealing between member nations. A Global Government is concerned not only with economics and trade, but also with the environment, health, agriculture, energy, food, social, cultural and many other essential aspects. The Federation of Global Governments is the place of meeting between Global Governments. The very first step of the Federation, and maybe the only one for several decades ahead of us, would be the approval of essential services amongst the participating member nations. The Global Community has researched and developed such services and listed them here. All of them are already in operation on a small scale.

I believe that there is no greater task in the world today than for the Global Community to proceed through the maturation of its leadership, emerging from a more self-interested adolescence as a global leader into a nobler adulthood. We have the potential to act as a torchbearer for a better tomorrow. Do we heed the call? I hope this message has convinced many international organizations and the millions of people who have been with us over the past decades, that the question of how to proceed with that maturation is of far deeper significance than the reforming of the United Nations. In fact the United Nations should not be reformed it should be replaced by the Federation. I thus pray that we move with wisdom, grace, clarity, and love in the days, years, and even decades ahead.

Celebration of Life Day, May 26, 2008

Dear friends,

On and around May 26, 2009, millions of people will join together in a global call to celebrate Life, the gift to the universe from God.

Celebration of Life Day
is May 26 every year, a day to say
thank you God for the gift of Life on Earth

Celebration of Life Day on May 26

On May 26, 2009, the Global Community asked all Peoples of the world to participate in this celebration of Life in your own community. The following project was appropriate to everyone.

From the experience in your life and local community tell us:

*    Why are you important to this "Global Community"?
*    Why is it important to you?
*    What do you like about it?
*    What bothers you about it?
*    Anything need to be done?
*    What is really good there?
*     What is very very important?
*     What is not so important?
*     What is not good?
*     What is needed to keep the good things?
*     What could make them even better?
*     What could you do to keep the good things good?
*     Could they help get rid of bad things?
*     What unimportant things need to go?
*     How could you help get rid of these things?

to sustain Earth, humanity and all life.

Please send us the following information:

1.     What are the most important issues that would allow your community become more sustainable? Over the past several years, many communities have held Life Day dialogues to determine the answer to this question. We look forward to hearing from all of you.

2.     A brief story of success in your community from the last 10 years in regard to a sound sustainable development.

3.     A picture related to the above or to a Life Day event.

4.     A sample of your idea of the Earth Flag.

We will gather this information from groups all over the world and compile it into a comprehensive report. Your work will be shown during Global Dialogue 2009. Please mail or email your ideas, pictures and descriptions, videos, Earth Flag samples to:

Celebration of Life Day

On May 26, as part of the Global Community Peace Movement, the Human Family,we will be rejoicing with all Peoples of the world , and all life, for the annual Celebration of Life Day. Life is the most precious gift ever given by God to the universe and this event needs to be celebrated.

At the early stage of the formation of the Earth, and a while later, all the conditions for the formation of life were present, and life was created to better serve God. Life was made of matter and every particle of that matter had a Soul that merged with all the others. A Soul is a part of the Spirit of God, His consciousness, and is a living, loving presence, a Being. A Soul can merge with other Souls and become one Soul, and it can evolve as well. The first spark of life was the cause for the formation of a unique and independent Soul to better serve God. Throughout the different evolutionary stages of life on Earth, Souls have guided the step-by-step evolution of life and kept merging with one another to better serve God. They guided the evolutionary process in small, incremental ways over a period of several billion years. Many groupings of Souls became more complex than others as they were much brighter beings than other groupings, but all serve God in their own special way.

One unique and most wonderful grouping was the grouping that made the Human Soul. God loves the human Souls a lot because of their wonderful qualities. Over the past thousands of years, through their Souls human beings became conscious of God in many different ways. Religions of all kinds started to spread on Earth to adore God and pray. Different groupings of Souls affected human beings in different ways and Peoples today have different religious beliefs. God is like a river feeding plentifully and bountifully all lifeforms and plants. There are many pathways leading to the river. They are God's pathways. God loves diversity in Nature and in Souls. God loves good Souls from all religions.

Different religions have different ways to love, adore and pray to God. And God's Heaven exists. Heaven on Earth is different from God's Heaven. To be in Heaven with God will mean a Soul has left the matter of the universe forever to enter God's Heaven.

The Divine Will or Will of God is the most powerful force of the universe and is pure spiritual energy. The Will of God is for life to reach God, God’s Pure Light, in the best possible ways. Life is the building block through which Souls can have a meaningful relationship with God. By observing the Universe, the galaxies, we are observing and studying God. We are seeing His magnificence, His greatness, and His complex making. There is more to the Universe we observe today, that is, there is more to God, much more. God is self-existent, eternal and infinite in space and time. Follow God's Word. God's Plan was revealed to humanity a short while ago.

The Divine Plan for humanity is:

a)     for everyone to manage Earth responsibly, and
b)     about to reach the stars and spread Life throughout the universe and thus help other Souls to evolve and serve God in the best possible ways.

Humanity’s higher purpose is to serve God by propagating life throughout the universe. Humanity will evolve spiritually to fulfill God's Plan. The human species has reached a point in its evolution where it knows its survival is being challenged. The human species knows through the Souls and now that all human Souls have merged together and formed the Soul of Humanity, we will find it easier to fight for our own survival. The Soul of Humanity does not make decisions for us and can only help us understand and guide us on the way. In the past, human beings have had some kind of symbiotical relationship (which is something common in Nature between lifeforms in an ecosystem) with the Souls, and now with the Soul of Humanity. We work together for both our survival and well-being. Cooperation and symbiosis between lifeforms (especially human beings) on Earth and between lifeforms and their Souls and the Soul of Humanity have become a necessity of life. We help one another, joint forces, and accomplish together what we cannot accomplish separately. Several billion years ago this symbiosis between matter and Souls resulted in the making of complex biochemical systems. Symbiosis has worked throughout the evolution of life on Earth and today, the Soul of Humanity has decided to be more active with humanity by purifying Souls. The Soul of Humanity shows us the way to better serve God.

The Soul of Humanity is helping to bring about the event of Peace in the world. Knowing that Earth is a spiritual entity as well as a physical entity in space and time in the universe we begin to have a better relationship with Earth and with all its living inhabitants. This way Earth management will become a spiritual and a natural process whereby each person is responsible and accountable for its management the best they can. Peace in the world and Earth management have for too long been in the hands of and affected by government and business leaders, in the hands of a few people on the planet, as opposed to being in the hands of all of us (7 billion people on Earth) working together to keep our planet healthy. We are the keepers of the Earth.

The Soul of Humanity will help us:

*     resolve problems, concerns and issues peacefully;
*     reinstate the respect for Earth;
*     work with humanity to keep Earth healthy, productive and hospitable for all people and living things;
*     bring forth a sustainable global society embracing universal values related to human and Earth rights, economic and social justice; respect of nature, peace, responsibility to one another;
*     protect the global life-support systems and manage Earth;
*     evolve spiritually to fulfill God’s Plan; and
*     enter God’s Heaven, His Spirit, His Pure Light, His universal mind and global consciousness.

We have the responsibility of managing Earth. Everyone shares responsibility for the present and future well-being of life within the Global Community. When there is a need to find a solution to a problem or a concern, a sound solution would be to choose a measure or conduct an action, if possible, which causes reversible damage as oppose to a measure or an action causing an irreversible loss.

Life exists on millions of other planets in the universe and our species got to be who we are today through the evolutionary process. Other lifeforms in the universe may have evolved to be at least as advanced as our species. Their Souls may even be more complicated than ours. They may have merged a trillion times more than the human Souls. They may have evolved as well.

We the Peoples of the Global Community, the Human Family, are reaffirming faith in the fundamental human and Earth rights, the Scale of Human and Earth Rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small. We the Peoples implies every individual on Earth, every community and every nation. Earth management is now a priority and a duty of every responsible person on Earth. The Global Community has taken action by calling the Divine Will into our lives and following its guidance. Divine Will is now a part of the Soul of Humanity to be used for the higher purpose of good and life's evolution. We will learn to serve humanity and radiate the Will of God to others.

As never before in history, common destiny beckons us to seek a new beginning. This requires a change of mind and heart, and calling Divine Will to come into our life to show us the way. It requires a new sense of global interdependence and universal responsibility. We must develop and apply the vision of a sustainable way of life locally, nationally, regionally, globally, and within ourselves throughout life. Our cultural diversity is a precious heritage and different cultures will find their own distinctive ways to realize the vision. We must deepen and expand the global dialogue that generated the ongoing collaborative search for truth and wisdom.

Life often involves tensions between important values. This can mean difficult choices. However, we must find ways to harmonize diversity with unity, the exercise of freedom with the common good, short-term objectives with long-term goals. Every individual, family, organization, and community has a vital role to play. The arts, sciences, religions, educational institutions, media, businesses, nongovernmental organizations, and governments are all called to offer creative leadership. The partnership of government, civil society, and business is essential for an effective global governance based on global concepts and the Scale of Human and Earth Rights.

In order to build a sustainable global community, each individual, each local community, and national governments of the world must initiate their commitment to the Human Family.

Let our time be a time remembered for the awakening of a new reverence for life, the firm resolve to achieve sustainability, the quickening of the struggle for justice and peace, and the joyful celebration of life. Let our expanding consciousness blend with that of the Soul of Humanity.

Humanity welcomes the "Belief, Values, Principles and Aspirations of the Global Community" (see the Global Constitution on our website) with Faith in the Divine Will and without fears such as the fear of change. Humanity seeks meaningful experiences and embraces the future for the better. Divine Will has caused the event of the Global Community.

Our time is the age of global cooperation and symbiotical relationships. There are many different kinds of symbiotical relationships. Symbiotical relationships exist between nations of the European Union. It is mainly an economic base symbiotical relationship. Other types of symbiotical relationships maybe created all over the world between communities, nations, and between people themselves. The Global Community, the Global Governments Federation, and the Global Government of North America are examples. They may be geographical, economical, social, business-like, political, religious, and personal. There has always been symbiotical relationships in Nature, and between Souls and the matter of the universe to help creating Earth and life on Earth to better serve God.

The Global Community has begun to establish the existence of a meaningful global co-operation all over the planet. National governments and large corporations have taken the wrong direction by asserting that free trade in the world is about competing economically without any moral safeguards and accountability to peoples and the environment. The proper and only way is for free trade to become a global cooperation between all nations. Surely, if we can cooperate in fighting against terrorism, then we should also be able to cooperate in fighting against the effects of the type of free trade and the emergence of the planetary trading blocks as applied by national governments members of the World Trade Organization(WTO). It has already been shown (see Newsletters on our website) that these effects will be disastrous socially and environmentally and are a direct threat to the existence of life on Earth. The Global Community is proposing a solution that the process of trading within the planetary trading blocks be changed from a spirit of global competition to that of global economic cooperation. This is the new way of doing business, the new way of life.

The Global Community has made clear that globalization and planetary trading blocks should be serving the Human Family and not the other way around, the people around the world serving the very few rich individuals. The September 11 event was the result of bad trading of arms and oil and the absence of moral responsibility and accountability in our way of doing business with the Middle East nations. By applying proper moral safeguards and accepting responsibility and accountability of all products (arms and oil in this case), from beginning to end where they become wastes, each corporation would make free trade and globalization serving the Human Family. The September 11 event was also a turning point in human history and indicated the end of the last superpower in the world and the birth of the Global Community. Over its long past history trade has never evolved to require from the trading partners to become legally and morally responsible and accountable for their products from beginning to end. At the end the product becomes a waste and it needs to be properly dispose of. Now trade must be given a new impetus to be in line with the global concepts of the Global Community. When you do exploration work, and develop, manufacture, produce, mine, farm or create a product, you become legally and morally responsible and accountable of your product from beginning to end (to the point where it actually becomes a waste; you are also responsible for the proper disposable of the waste). This product may be anything and everything from oil & gas, weapons, war products, construction products, transportation and communications products and equipment, to genetically engineered food products. All consumer products! All medical products! All pharmaceutical products! In order words, a person (a person may be an individual, a community, a government, a business, an NGO, or an institution) becomes responsible and accountable for anything and everything in his or her life.

Certainly an important action has been for the Canadian Government to ratify the Kyoto Protocol as it is. No more waiting! Time for action is now! We are all responsible for the creation of global warming, and there are plenty of observable effects. Greenhouse gases are accumulating dangerously in the Earth's atmosphere as a result of human activities, and temperatures are rising globally due to these activities. Climate changes have to be manage without delays and the ratification of the Kyoto Protocol is only the beginning of a long fight for the protection of life on Earth. There is much more to be done to even come close to what we have to do. The ratification was only the beginning to help save the next generations.

Global consumption is a very important aspect of globalization. Consumers should be concerned with the impact of their decisions on the environment but also on the lives, human and Earth rights and well-being of other people. Since one of the key functions of families as a social institution is to engage in production (selling their labour in return for wages) and consumption (using those wages to buy goods and services), then the role of families has impacts on sustainable consumption and development. Corporations are required to expand their responsibilities to include human and Earth rights, the environment, community and family aspects, safe working conditions, fair wages and sustainable consumption aspects. Global Community has summarized the rights of every person on Earth by developing the Scale of Human and Earth Rights. The scale will eventually be replacing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Global Constitution established all rights.

Just as corporations have social responsibilities and so do consumers in societies. Consumers are socialized to improve the quality of their lives. Quality of life is a multi-dimensional, complex and very subjective concept. For instance, someone who has changed their consumption habits to better ensure that their choices will make a better quality of life for themselves, the environment and future generations, may be seen by others as having a lower or inferior quality of life since they have removed themselves from the materialistic mainstream characteristic of our consumer society. Someone may feel that an absence of violence and abuse in their life leads to a higher quality of living even though they have fewer tangible resources, money, or shelter; peace of mind and freedom from abuse has increased the quality of their daily life relative to what it was like before. There are universal quality of life values which lead to "human betterment" or the improvement of the human condition. In addition to the value of species survival (human and other living organisms), they include: adequate resources, justice and equality, freedom, and peace or balance of power. A better quality of life for all people of the Global Community Earth Government is a goal for all of us and one of our universal values.

Global Community found that an adequate level of health care is a universal value as well as a human right. We expect adequate health services to be accessible, affordable, compassionate and socially acceptable. We believe that every individual of a society is co-responsible for helping in implementing and managing health programmes along with the government and the public institutions.

Being unified under the Soul of Humanity, Divine Will, God the Spirit and the Human Family dissolve all barriers and expand our global consciousness. We become more whole and complete within ourselves and as a group. Our common Spirit is able to resolve planetary problems in a coherent way. One common 'global Vision' allows us to see how all the parts of the whole relate to each other. We have the right relationship with one another, with all lifeforms and Earth itself, and with the Soul of Humanity, the Divine Will and God the Spirit.

On May 26, let us all celebrate life in our heart, mind and Spirit. Let us thank God for the gift of life.

Cultural Appreciation Day August 22 of each year

On August 22 of every year the Global Community celebrates the Global Cultural Day, the Cultural Appreciation Day. The event's theme is "Culture, Values and Social Development."

Noting that culture and development are not mutually exclusive, event organizers are asked to promote a union between historical preservation and future local - global growth. The Global Community is rich with tradition and art. Culture is certainly tangible - churches, temples and monuments; and intangible - heritage with performing arts, fine arts or visual arts. Every community is based on a society distinctly different from any other country and its people.

The Cultural Appreciation Day celebration.

The Cultural Appreciation Day celebration promotes the meaning of culture, the real nature of Humanity and what inhibits its development.

It is for all, regardless of education, age, race, political or religious beliefs. The idea of the Cultural Appreciation Day celebration is that Humanity in truth is limitless, and that there is a unity underlying all the apparent diversity in our daily lives.

Activities

Activities during the celebration may include mask making, cooking, singing, music, dance/drama, and puppet making by and for the children.

The day provides vendors, live entertainment, children's activities, and food in celebration of the various cultural groups.

The Cultural Appreciation Day celebration occurs at the same time and is an important part of the Global Exhibition.

For the fourth year since the first time ever promoting of a Global Exhibition, there is a Global Exhibition at the time of Global Dialogue 2009, and at the same site in Nanaimo. It is also occurring everywhere else in the world along with Global Dialogue 2009. People of all nations are asked to organize a Global Exhibition during the period August 17 - August 22 of each year.

Global Sustainability

We live in a world where all natural and human resources are exploited without limits, so that a small minority can consume far more than their rightful share of the world's real wealth. Now, while that is going on, we found that the industrial era faces a burnout, because it is exhausting the human and natural resource base on which our very lives depend. A sound governance and management of our planet is needed for the long term survival of our species.

We need to grow strong caring communities in which we get more of our human satisfaction from caring relationships and less from material goods. We need to reclaim the ideal of being a democratic middle-class people without extremes of wealth and poverty.

And we need to realize what is a priority, what is the most important, and what is the least important for our survival. We need to make hard choices. We need a clear vision. We need a common vision. And we must all change! There are many important aspects of our lives we can no longer do, or should never do anymore. They are destructive. Humanity and all life can no longer afford activities that destroy life and the global environment, and certainly the military is a major one of them. And there are other activities we must do, thousands of them, to assure the survival of life on Earth. In view of the planetary state of emergency, we all must change, we must do things differently to give life on Earth a better survival chance.

We need ways of organizing ourselves to help us live in a world with less energy and fewer material goods. We need to recover a deep sense of community that has disappeared from many of our lives. This means letting go a sense of ourselves as consumption machine.

The Global Community has found that consumption of the Earth resources and the amount of wastes we create can be managed very differently, more efficiently, and be less destructive to the global environment. Our ways of doing business and trade can be improved upon to decrease waste and consumption of Earth resources.

Often what is called trade is really moving of resources across borders between subsidiaries of the same corporation. Nothing to do with free competition. Economic activity is centrally-managed and planned by the corporate elite. Capital move freely across borders as restrictions on the flow of money have been removed. Corporations can relocate their operations to the countries with the lowest wages, the least active unions and the lowest environmental standards. The reality is that more polluting industries are encouraged to relocate to developing countries. A polluting industry tends to increase the chances that people in the surrounding area will have health problems. It costs less to dump a load of toxic waste in the lowest wage country.

The Global Community has developed a strategy to improve our ways of doing business and trade so as to protect all life on the planet. Over its long past history trade has never evolved to require from the trading partners to become legally and morally responsible and accountable for their products from beginning to end. At the end the product becomes a waste and it needs to be properly dispose of. Now trade must be given a new impetus to be in line with the global concepts of the Global Community. You manufacture, produce, mine, farm or create a product, you become legally and morally responsible and accountable of your product from beginning to end (to the point where it actually becomes a waste; you are also responsible for the proper disposable of the waste). This product may be anything and everything from oil & gas, weapons, war products, to genetically engineered food products. All consumer products. All medicinal products! All pharmaceutical products!

The natural resources of the Earth belong to all the "global communities" along with the Global Community where they are found. When people know they own the resources in their communities then people can start directing the wealth of their resources towards the building of local-to-global economic democracies in order to meet the needs for food, shelter, universal healthcare, education, and employment for all in their community.

The Global Community concept of ownership states that land and natural resources of our planet are a common heritage and belong equally to everyone, to all life on Earth, as a birthright. Products and services created by individuals are properly viewed as private property. Products and services created by a group of individuals are properly viewed as collective property. Along with ownership comes the obligation of using the resources, share them or lose them. Land and all other Earth natural resources are not commodities. Use the land, share it or lose it. This principle also applies to banks and similar institutions all over the world and to Wall Street. You own property because the previous owners could not pay. Use that property, share it or lose it.

It should also be our goal to create locally owned enterprises that sustainably harvest and process local resources to produce jobs, goods and services. We should favor local firms and workers, who pay local taxes, live by local rules, respect and nurture the local ecosystems, compete fairly in local markets, and contribute to community life.

A community should benefit from the use of commonly held natural resources. That includes land, air, water, all minerals, and the electromagnetic spectrum. The exploitation and use of natural resources should be taxed. Moving taxes onto resources and land use and off of incomes should make people less expensive to employ.

Taxes should be designed to conserve resources and energy, and increase employment. Labour should not be taxed but pollution should.

Resource taxes should be assessed as early as possible. Resources should be taxed before entering the manufacturing process in order to green all aspects from extraction phase to the finished product.

Be sustainable locally first, and globally next only if needed. Let go the WTO, NAFTA or any free trade agreement.

A workable type of Tobin tax should be in place as it is a powerful instrument to promote global sustainability and force shareholders to be responsible and accountable to the people of global communities. A Tobin tax is a tax on all trade of currency across borders to put a penalty on short-term speculation in currencies. The tax rate should be 10 to 25 cents per hundred dollars.

The proposal is important due to its potential to prevent global financial crises such as we are seeing now. Also, an estimated $500 billion per year makes it possible to meet urgent global priorities, such as preventing global warming, disease, and unemployment. The tax should be managed by the Global Community and the Federation of Global Governments. In the globalized economy, there is a lack of adequate funding for global problems which threaten local communities worldwide. Projects which could help to address these needs and create jobs will cost more than $500 billion annually. Private donors do not meet the need, and some nations cut their aid budgets. New multilateral approaches to public finance, such as Tobin Taxes, may provide part of the answer.

Yes We Can Save The Planet

We are facing the dire consequences of ecological collapse, Climate change, water scarcity, extinction of biodiversity and over population.

In the past 20 million years, the carbon dioxide content of the biosphere has been 300 ppm. Only in the past hundred years has the carbon dioxide reached 370 ppm. The question is whether this change may react in such a way that it becomes a tipping point for extreme disaster.

In 1930, the population of the planet was2 billion. In 2000. It was 6 billion. In 2020. It will be 8 billion

There is massive, inequity in distribution of world income. A living wage in San Francisco, is $96 a day. Poverty in the US is defined as, $12 a day. 60% of people in the world live on less than three dollars a day and they cannot afford any of the economic material luxury goods, which the current global economy thrives on.

40% of people by 2020 will not have enough water to live on and 95% of people in the world are predicted to be living in urban situations.

It is predicted that oil will peak by 2010. Oil is the source for growing food and fertilisers and plastics etc,. Because of this, the poorest people in the world will not be able to sell sufficient goods to survive.

We are in phase six of biodiversity, mass extinction. Within 20 years, 20% of biodiversity will be extinct and 50% by 100 years. This makes the biosphere, unsustainable. We are looking towards a whole systems crisis within 20 years, unless we get our act together fast.

The structure of the political system is changing, due to the rapid change in the nature of information now available andthe fact that individuals have a greater say in what they want. Individuals, therefore, need to be educated, and there needs to be greater emphasis on holistic education and holistic health. Economic rationalism per se does not work in a global milieu which does not have infinite resources.

Peace needs to be emphasised above all else, because the greatest threat to our extinction as a species is aggressive competition and war. There are still 40,000 nuclear weapons in the world, and we completely forget about this., when we talk about climate change.

The big change occurring, which seems to be ignored., generally, is the coming together of science and religion. It is now proven scientifically, that Human consciousness has a profound effect on the environment, as well as on society. The experiments done are more valid and more stringent than any medical double-blind trial, you will see for example in The New England Journal of Medicine.

For humanity , to survive a greater emphasis needs to be on decentralized representation, and a transnational representation of the voices of the Global community of people who in their billions are crying out for change

The creation of Ministries and Commissions for peace throughout the World would be a tremendous advance for global society, in rapid transformation and change

Only by expressing in every way the new paradigm based on interrelationship, interdependency and cooperation amongst all humanity regardless of race, creed, culture or belief system can we hope to reverse the trend of global degradation and demise

Global Peace Movement

The Global Community claims that everyone on Earth should be able to live in peace. This Global Peace Mouvement is about the courage to live a life in a harmonious peace order and showing by example, thus preventing poverty, wars, terror and violence. We need to educate the coming generations with good principles, being compassionate, social harmony and global  sustainability  being some of them. The responsibility of a peacemaker is to settle differences through compromise and negotiation before they erupt into violence. Conflicting views do not have to bring about fighting. War is an irreversible solution to a problem. War is never an appropriate solution to resolve a conflict. In order to bring about the event of peace, the Global Community is offering other good organizations around the world to work together to bring warring parties to peace.

Peace in the world and the survival and protection of all life on our planet go hand-in-hand. Asking for peace in the world means doing whatever is necessary to protect life on our planet. Protecting life implies bringing about the event of peace in the world. Let our time be a time remembered for a new respect for life, our determination to achieve sustainability, and our need for global justice and peace.

From now on, building global communities for peace require understanding of global problems this generation is facing. There are several major problems: conflicts and wars, no tolerance and compassion for one another, world overpopulation, unemployment, insufficient protection and prevention for global health, scarcity of resources and drinking water, poverty, Fauna and Flora species disappearing at a fast rate, global warming and global climate change, global pollution, permanent lost of the Earth's genetic heritage, and the destruction of the global life-support systems and the eco-systems of the planet. We need to build global communities that will manage themselves with the understanding of those problems. All aspects are interrelated: global peace, global sustainability, global rights and the environment. The jobless is more concerned with ending starvation, finding a proper shelter and employment, and helping their children to survive. Environmental issues become meaningless to the jobless. In reality, all concerns are interrelated because the ecology of the planet has no boundaries. Obviously, as soon as our environment is destroyed or polluted beyond repair, human suffering is next.

Our goal for peace in the world can only be reached by resolving those global problems. Those problems have brought up a planetary state of emergency. In view of the planetary state of emergency, shown and declared by the Global Community, we all must change, we must do things differently to give life on Earth a better survival chance and bring about the event of peace amongst us all.

Our first objective was to find statements from all religions, all faiths, that promote ethical and moral responsibility to life and a responsible Earth management. This was assumed to work well within the context of the global civilization of the 3rd Millennium and after defining the Global Community criteria of symbiotical relationships. In this context, we have defined that any symbiotical relationship is for the good of all. It is based on a genuine group concern and unconditional support for the individual's well-being ~ a giant leap in human behaviour. Symbiotical relationships are needed today for the long term future of humanity, for the protection of life on our planet, and to bring about the event of peace amongst us all.

The fundamental criteria of any symbiotical relationship is that a relationship is created for the good of all groups participating in the relationship and for the good of humanity, all life on Earth. The relationship allows a global equitable and peaceful development and a more stable and inclusive global economy.

Religious rituals now support the conservation efforts and play a central role in governing the sustainable use of the natural environment.

The Global Movement to Help, an initiative of the Global Community and of the Federation of Global Governments, is now applying more emphasis on the urgent need from the people of all nations to give everyone essential services. The urgent need to give all Global Citizens essential services was made obvious in the past few years after the occurrence of natural disasters, and the global destruction created by the military.

The very first step of the Federation, and maybe the only one for several decades ahead of us, is the approval of essential services amongst the participating member nations. To that effect, new global ministries will be established to guide us onto the path of global sustainability. Through these new global ministries, we want each Global Government to take a larger share of responsibility of the specific region where it operates, and be more accountable to the people of that region. Be compassionate. Essential services to the people of each member nation are now the most important global rights on the Scale of Global Rights and are protected by the Global Protection Agency (GPA) of each member nation. The GPA will train and lead a global force, bypassing traditional peacekeeping and military bodies such as the United Nations and NATO. The GPA is a short term solution, an immediate and efficient response to help.

There are also long term solutions. The Scale of Global Rights is the fundamental guide to Global Law. Global Law includes legislation covering all essential aspects of human activities.

The GPA will enforce the law. And that is a long term solution to the planetary state of emergency. And that is also how we can solve the global problems facing this generation, thus largely improving the quality of life of the next generations, and that is how we will bring about the event of peace amongst us all.

An important aspect of global governance is the security of a person and of a nation. Security must be achieved by other means than conflicts and wars. We might as well shelved the war industry from humanity right now and that means phasing out all nuclear, biological, chemical weapons right now. War products and equipment and weapons of mass destruction from all nations must be decommissioned. Governments that have weapons of masss destruction are obviously terrorist governments. The Global Community is asking them to disarm. No waiting! Global security can only be achieved if it can be shared by all peoples and through global co-operation, based on principles as explained in the Global Constitution such as justice, human dignity, and equity for all and for the good of all.

War is not sustainable to all life on the planet. It never was. The military option, war, is against global sustainability and global peace in a big way. The worst environmental degradation happens in wars.

The military is no replacement to the " will of the people ", democracy, the rule of law, social justice, and to Global Rights and Global Justice. The Global Community has no need of a subversive military force. NATO must be subject to the people, the Global Community, and to the Federation of Global Governments.

The planarchists: definition, and who they are

The "more is better" version of the American dream is unsustainable environmentally, fueling resource consumption that the planet cannot keep up with, and socially, forcing families into a work-and-spend treadmill that depletes savings and clutters lives. The financial crisis is itself a proof that the dream is unsustainable economically, as well. In less than a generation from now, oil & gas depletion will make the prices go much higher than we have seen lately. Our need for oil is everywhere and its price will skyrocket like never before. A $200/barrel of oil is a likely price until such time when everyone will be fighting for every drop of oil. Most building materials will be too expensive because they are either made from oil or they are manufactured with the energy of oil, natural gas, and coal. Transportation uses oil (diesel and gasoline). Electricity is used in the manufacture and construction of houses. Coal (which is transported with diesel) and natural gas (which uses oil in exploration, drilling operations, and transport of workers) provide the energy for electric power generation. Thus coal and natural gas costs, as well as the cost of electricity, will increase with the increasing price of oil. Everything will cost more and more as the price of oil increases. We will be facing the collapse of civilization as we know it.

We are seeing today that the US White House is very nervous about America's future. Trillions of bankcrupted dollars are given away to American corporations so they can buy out foreign corporations in control of energy resources and of other essential resources for the survival of America.

In November 2008, EU President-in-Office Sarkozy and US Administration have proposed a series of summits on global governance, involving first the G8 and then extending to include G20 nations. They are proposing the creation of a new global financial system or new Bretton Woods. The aim must be to overhaul capitalism, not by questioning the idea of a market economy but observing certain principles. If our world leaders, the few elites, have their way again, the world will have some sort of expanded WTO, NAFTA, or G8 nations with an unlimited power over the economies of the world. A world anti-government! No less! If we believe the EU and G8 leaders, the world will become a large casino playground with principles. NATO will be asked to protect such a system. A new world order! Governance at its best! Money is all that counts! The big corporate rulers, the war industry, and Christians from the political right will be fully protected. Actually we will be back to the aftermath of WWII when the US Administration of the time decided to build the biggest military force in the world at the expenses of its taxpayers, the environment and all life on the planet. So we are back to the future once more.

Now in 2009, the worst that could have happened is happening. The bad guys from Wall Street and banks got a bail out. The military has been exonerated from all charges. Many USA public and private institutions are now under the protection of the White House Adminstration with taxpayers moneys and nationalized. The world is following again a path of destruction that got us all here today. Successive corrupted US White House Administrations, bad financial fundamentals, out-of-control stock market, and astronomically high military expenditures have contributed to the bankruptcy of the US economy. Through its military , the IMF and World Bank, and its lies and bullying tactics at the United Nations, the White House, and other G8 leaders, have spread a fundamentally wrong philosophy and democratic governance to the rest of the world, a philosophy of hate, greed and destruction by all means. Along with the NATO nations and war industry, these leaders are true 21st Century anarchists of our planet. They are planarchists. They are the 21st Century anarchists. They are the worst kind as they hold power and use it without care for life. If there were political parties on the global level, those of the 'left', those of the 'right' and those in between, planarchists would be of the far 'right', professional thieves (economists, bankers, financiers, Wall Street workers, Christians of the political right, IMF organization, World Bank organization, White House and Congress officials, NATO, WTO, NAFTA, FTAA, war industry), professional pirates (not the 'teenager kind' we see today: Somali pirate appears in Kenyan Court). The kind of 'professional piracy' we see happening today is to do with the IMF, the World Bank, the USA White House, and the G8 nations.

Over the years, the IMF and World Bank interacted with one another and still do today. Both organizations, the IMF and World Bank, are mostly sponsored and directed by the US White House. Over the past decades, trillions of American bankrupted dollars, fake money, have been given to these organizations to make developing nations give away their resources to the industrialized nations, G8 nations. For instance, the IMF looked after the new systems of fixed exchange rates by making exchange easy between different currencies thus making trade easy between countries. The IMF provided short-term emergency loans (5 years maximum to repay) to governments. The World Bank was to focus on long-term loans at low interest rates to allow European nations to rebuild and restore. In the 1950s, after European nations had recovered from the war, the World Bank continued to exist by lending to the governments of developing nations especially in Latin America, Africa and Asia. In 1973, US President R. Nixon decided to take America off the gold standard to devalue the US dollar. This US policy destroyed the system of fixed currency exchange rate. After this action, the effect on the global economy was felt positively by the rich nations of the world, currencies could no longer 'float' relative to each other and the debt of the developing nations increased as they were all created in US dollars. Then the World Bank loaned more dollars to the developing nations. Often the money was used for war purposes such as in the Philippines and Argentina. War equipment was bought from America, and this had a positive effect on the US economy. Poor nations saw their debt grow astronomically and were forced to make new loans just to pay for the interests. The IMF supplied more loans under the condition that the poor nations undergo "Structural Adjustment Programs". This had the effect that a developing nation's economic policy would be dictated by the IMF. The IMF simply said to the developing nations: do all you can to attract business and pay off your debts.

The IMF and the World Bank are a form of anti-government gone bad as their policies brought poverty to more than half the population on Earth and are causing a major threat to the global life-support systems. Developing nations started to privatize many services and reduce spending on others so that they would have more money available for debt repayment. The overall effect was that governments were cutting on education, healthcare and subsidies to keep food prices affordable. After the USA created the WTO and NAFTA, and now the FTAA, nation governments are no longer allowed to subsidize services. They also have to lower their environmental standards and get ride of labour rights. They will be sued. Governments had to promote 'free trade' and to devalue their currency. Now in a nation whose currency is worth less, all the costs of doing business are higher and prices for imported goods increase. The IMF basically forced developing nations to focus their economy toward exports, especially cash crops such as coffee, sugar, cotton, etc. and raw materials such as copper and timber. In consequence of this, several nations produced the same products all at the same time and thus prices for those products went down enormously. The overall effect of the US policy within the IMF and the World Bank was to eliminate labour and environmental rights, and increase poverty and ecological destruction in the developing nations while the rich nations got richer. Their only goal is acquiring the planet's wealth for themselves even if that means taking down the rest of humanity, all life. They work in tandem with the war industry to invade nations and acquire their resources. Today they are invading Afghanistan and Iraq, and killing 'freedom fighters'. They will never leave Iraq until there is no longer a drop of oil and gas left in the Middle East.

During the Cold War with the Soviet Union, America had a strategic interest in containing Soviet influence and its expansion in the Middle East. The money and arms given to Israel was used to fend off challenges to American interests from radical, Islamic, and Soviet-backed forces. The American support of Israel was criticized by the Arab Middle East and the Islamic world and has fed the radical Islamic fundamentalist movements. Another strategic interest of the United States was the need to preserve access to two-thirds of the world's known petroleum reserves.

During the Cold War the United States, Great Britain, France, Russia, Germany, and Israel were the countries that sold arms, war products, war equipment, war planes, war ships, and weapons of mass destruction to the people of the Middle East and to Afghanistan. They have shown no ethical and moral values in the activities of their trade. They have made trade a despicable act of dealing with one another between human beings and between nations. No laws! No regulations! No ethics! No moral responsibility and accountability! As far as they are concerned, they say everyone has the "freedom" of destroying the global life-support systems! Everyone has the "freedom" of human rights abuses! Now pollution, diseases, terrorism, poverty, social and economic injustice have no boundaries.

Over the past several decades, the invasion of Afghanistan by outside powers and years of war have brought death, hunger, disease and depopulation to the country. During the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in the 1980s, America sold sophisticated weapons, heavy artilleries and stinger missiles to the Afghans. After the withdrawal of Soviet troops in 1992 and the end of the America-Soviet Cold War, America was no longer interested or concerned about the people of Afghanistan. Afghanistan had served Americans interests during the Cold war and was no longer needed. Afghanistan was left with a legacy of heavily armed factions, millions of landmines and with no legitimate government to run the country.

During this period of time over 1.5 million men, women and children have lost their lives. The continued social violence and chaos are causing a traumatic psychological impact on child development and the functioning of family. Most children have known nothing but violence and fear. Women make up over 55% of the total population estimated at 25 million. Women and girls have been beaten, raped and abducted as "wives" or sold into prostitution.

In Afghanistan, there are no basic services such as banking services, medical facilities, electricity, water supplies, ciment roads, communications, etc. Poverty is widespread. High unemployment have led to a growing crime rate, illicit drug production for the West and arms trade.

In 1996 Afghanistan saw the Taliban, a fundamentalist militia group, seizing power. Many young Taliban members were educated by the impact of the ten year Afghanistan-Soviet war and through seminary schools in Pakistan. Since its capture of Kabul, the Taliban has claimed to be guided by a strict adherence to Islamic law. It maintains the decrees and edicts that severely restrict the rights of women. It is merely a byproduct of a fervently devote and righteous Islamic society. However, Muslim scholars have been vocal in their condemmation of the Taliban's claim of pure religious adherence. But it is certainly an improvement upon the perversive and immoral philosophy of the arms free trade of the West that only bring destruction to nations of the world. The millions of women of Afghanistan once enjoyed education (a religious activity, that is most pleasing in God's eyes, but the country is too poor to build schools), employment, and personal freedom in Afghanistan. But now they form the majority of the population and are not allowed to claim basic human rights. Mainly because it is one of the poorest country in the world and that it has been abused by both Russia and the West. They are not allowed to speak in public and must walk very quietly (no noisy shoes). They are not permitted to venture in public without the company of a close male relative (there is so much poverty and crime that women must be protected when they go out on the streets). They must wear the burqa, a head-to-toe garment convering all parts of the female body; a small mesh opening is inserted for vision, but the eyes must not be seen behind the mesh. Care from male doctors is not permitted and, with no female physicians at work, women and girls are dying from easily treatable diseases (Afghans had to buy arms from the Americans to help America get rid of the Russians during the Cold War and so now Afghans have no money left to build hospitals and no money to employ women doctors, or men for that matter).

The Taliban regime was recognized by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. In November 1999, under the leadership of the United States Government and the other four Permanent Members of the United Nations Security Council (The Republic of China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the United States of America are the Permanent Members of the Security Council, and basically, any of these members has the absolute power to overthrow a proposal brought forward by any of 189 member nations of the UN), severe sanctions were imposed on Afghanistan for refusing to expel suspected terrorist Osama bin Laden. He was wanted for the bombing of two American embassies. The Love-Hate relationship between America and the Islamic Civilization was once more a reality. The Afghans had been wonderful friends to America during the America-Soviet Cold War but now they were considered expandable and merely social and religious barbarians. Afghans were already struggling to survive under severe war-ruined, drought conditions. Poverty is widespread in Afghanistan. The impact of the UN resolution was desastrous to the people of Afghanistan.

Up to a million Afghans have starved. Millions of people have been left short of food as a result of the ongoing invasion by America. More than four fifths of the Afghan population is completely dependent on farming and have been unable to produce the basic food for their survival or to find alternative employment.

The Global Community is urgently asking everyone in the world to help the people of Afghanistan with donations. Contact the organization Women for Women Afghanistan. Their website is at: www.w4wafghan.ca

The Global Community is pleading the United States and its NATO partners to stop invading Afghanistan and Iraq. You have no rights whatsoever to do so. And you have no solid proof that Osama bin Laden was responsible for the September 11 event in the US. If there was such proof you would have asked to bring him and his group to the Earth Court of Justice. You have no humane justification for invading a country you have abandoned after they help America win the Cold War against the Soviets. Invading Afghanistan is the most despicable act of cowardice coming from the most powerful nation on Earth. The Soviets were no better. But you are worst. You are planarchists. The United Nations deserve the same shame as you do. The United Nations have been a dictature ever since its creation. Mr. Nobel must have turned twice in his grave when he heard that the UN received the Nobel Peace Prize. How can you be an advocate for Peace when you vote for wars? How can you be an advocate for Peace when four of your five Permanent Members, France, Russia, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the United States of America have had a Love-Hate relationship with the Islamic Civilization that is, Americans Love the money but the Moslems Hate them for invading their nations? When it comes to promoting and defending human and social rights, the UN has not even passed first grade. The UN is 90% wrong!

Osama Bin Laden is actually a prophet in his own ways, not a terrorist. He objected to the invasion by Russia during the Cold War. America was quite please to get his help in those days. Actually he was being help by the Americans to get rid of the Russians. It is a question of who help who. He also objected to be invaded by Americans, to our ways of life, our consumer driven society, our ' waste land ' found in the West. The only reason why Osama Bin Laden was never successful in getting ride of the Americans from his homeland was because he is a good guy. He cannot think like a predator. Americans are predators. America is a 'nation predator'. Americans got to be a very powerful military nation by pure instincts, not by intelligence. If you want to kill a predator you have to think like it does and be ready to use every opportunity, use every situation as a new opportunity to kill the beast. Osama Bin Laden is too nice to think that way. He is a bit of a ' Don Quixote ' character, a man who has read so many bad stories about brave errant knights that he decides to become one himself, and to fight giants and save maidens. Quixote's adventures tend to involve situations in which he attempts to apply a knight's sure, simple morality to situations in which much more complex issues are at hand. He is on his horse figthing a fully armed twenty-first century nation of predators who would not hesitate to put a bullet in his head. You could think of Osama Bin Laden as riding a skinny old horse at sunrise on the hills of Afghanistan with wind, sand and American bullets blowing in his hair and beard. By now he probably dont even have a horse to ride on, broken and totally helpless to stop the invaders. He cannot figure that the global thinking has nothing much to do about him and his worthy cause but rather is about highly motivated Peoples such as America, Russia, India and China, who would crush the Middle East, Afghanistan and the entire global life-support systems of the planet to obtain what they want: oil and gas (for now). Other than Osama Bin Laden, Don Quixote has another image of himself in those who fight to protect life on Earth for this generation and the next ones. They are the defenders of the environment and the global life-support systems. They know who the beasts are, the planarchists, and how they destroy the living on our planet. They have rallied together all over the world to protect our home, Earth. But this time Don Quixote is not alone. We know it all! We know how everything works. And we will do whatever it takes to protect life on Earth. "We the Peoples", the Global Community, the Federation of Global Governments, are the Earth revolutionaries, and we will protect life on Earth at all costs.

The war industry has to be shelved from humanity forever. They are not defending "We the Peoples". The war industry and the government military are people in the business of killing. They are there for themselves and for protecting their wealthy friends.

After the Cold War, Americans left Afghanistan in a terrible state. Destruction every where. They left the people of Afghanistan living with a nightmare. You might think the situation is better today. Not even close. It is much worst than back then. Ask the women of Afghanistan and Iraq. Read articles No wonder civilians objected to be treated as 'non-human beings' by Americans. They wanted Americans out of their country. Suicide bombers are actually civilians who cannot see any other way to fight back. We call them 'terrorists' here in the West. The word 'terrorist' was invented by President Bush and the American Congress.

In the Middle East, during the the Iran-Iraq war, Americans along with the Israelis and the British people sold arms to both sides. Trillions of dollars changed hands in those days. The military strategy that was used to force Iran and Iraq to be at war with one another is also the same strategy to be used to make the Chinese communities to be at war with one another. Create a chaos! If they hate one another then they will want to kill each other. You only need to put in the 'hate factor' in both people to get them to buy arms from you. This is when the American (and British) war industry will sell their arms to the Chinese. So in effect, they all work for America. Yep! Cheap labour! And they all can go to kingdom come! And then America will bring up the flags of fighting for the establishment of democracy, freedoms, and ' whatnots ', and ' bullnots '. Americans back home will love it! It is so pathetic that one would want to cry. People used to look up to America. But now Americans are just killers, criminals, invaders, predators, and arms dealers. It is not about survival. It is about a civilization, America, gone so bad that its people would do anything for money. When it comes to do business, at least the Chinese are paying for their oil and gas, Americans dont, Americans are planarchists, Americans are professional pirates. Pirates steal the goods of a ship in open sea. Americans steal the goods of a nation through economic and military warfare.

Instead of caring for the Iraqi and Afghan people, or even giving them jobs, Americans have killed, starved, maimed, tortured thousands of Iraqi and Afghan people, destroying their infrastructure, including their water and health facilities. In the name of democracy they have created a corporate tyranny which has essentially stolen Iraq and Afghanistan out from under the Iraqi and Afghan people. They have committed war crimes against Iraqi and Afghan people in prisons and have made freedom of movement and speech almost impossible. This was done by the US government, by Americans. The people of the US are responsible and must hold their government accountable.

America's policy toward Iran and Iraq was incoherent, inconsistent, dishonnest, erratic, and mostly aimed at making money. Strictly business! A profit-making international policy! This kind of policy created hate of the West in the heart and mind of every person of the Islamic Civilization, and America's credibility in the eyes of the Muslim allies was seriously damaged. After World War I, following the destruction of the Ottoman Empire, the European powers created states in the Middle East and appointed officials to administer them. A lot of what was created had no legitimacy for the people of the Muslim Civilization, and Western domination brought much of the same kind of hegemony in the region as with the British. Muslims have had enough of outsiders exploiting them for profit and power, of being used and killed, and their communities destroyed. The September 11 attack on America may very well be a small outburst of this hate. This is what Israel, Great Britain and America have to deal with, and they are morally responsible and accountable for creating this hate in the Middle East and in Afghanistan. It is the Free Trading of arms, war products, war equipment, war planes, war ships, and weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East, the business deals, and their complete lack of ethical and moral responsibility and accountability that are at the root of the September 11 attack on the USA. The Afghans, Osama Bin Laden, and the Talibans were wonderful friends to America during the America-Soviet Cold War but now the USA considered them expandable and merely social and religious barbarians. Afghans were already struggling to survive under severe war-ruined, drought conditions. Poverty was and is still widespread in Afghanistan. This Love-Hate relationship is very much the same today. Americans are now selling arms to the people of Pakistan, and it is only a matter of time before Americans change their mind and called the people of Pakistan the evil enemies, the terrorists, and then invade Pakistan, and probably use nuclear war heads to destroy Pakistan's nuclear facilities.

The reality is that Osama bin Laden and the Talibans are freedom fighters. They want neither the Russians, the Americans, or the Canadians in their countries. They are being invaded, and they dont want that. If Global Law could be applied today, Bush and the Canadian General would be thrown in jail for the killing of innocent people in Afghanistan and the Middle East and the complete destruction of those countries.

In 1989, during the Cold War, when the Soviet Union retreated from Afghanistan, there were over one million landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) left in the ground. Most of them were made in the USA and still killing Afghans and now NATO soldiers. Today, Afghanistan remains heavily contaminated by mines and UXOs. This contamination continues to take a devastating toll on human lives and livelihoods. Clearance of residential areas, farmland, roads and other high priority areas is not only a means to ensure the physical safety of all Afghans, but also a prerequisite for achieving national reconstruction, development and lasting peace.

Planarchists have no true religion, they dont believe in anything but money and the wealth of the planet for themselves, they have no care for the people they represent except those who work direcly or indirectly for the war industry and the corporate elite, they refuse to acknowledge the trends of the global crisis and its chaotic end and doing something humane to prevent it, and they refuse to accept the global concepts researched and developed by the Global Community for the protection of life on our planet. Because of their wrong way of doing things, our planet is in great danger of losing its most precious asset: life. They are true anarchists, the destructive kind, and they want humanity to follow on their destructive path.

And that is threatening the security of all life on our planet. And that makes the planarchists also terrorists of the worst kind. Terrorists to all life on our planet.

Truly, our world is not governed by democratically elected governments. It is ruled by global financial institutions in the service of financial speculators who exchange trillions of dollars daily in search of instance unearned profits to increase the wealth, and the power, of the richest people on the planet. They bring down governments that displease them, and buy and sell the largest corporations like commodities. By design and law the defining priority and obligation of these governing institutions is to generate financial profits to make rich people richer, in short to increase inequality in a world in desperate need of greater equity.

Truly, we are at the crossroads of the most serious economic and social crisis in modern history, far deeper than the financial crisis itself. In a flash, people saw the worst of humanity, what was hidden behind Wall Street, greed and mindless consumption, and people ready to do anything to keep things the way they are now. They asked and got a bail out. People not connected with the military lost everything they had and now live in poverty.

Labour rights are abused in efforts to earn more profits. This leads to abhorrent working conditions, job insecurity and low living standards (all global rights). The WTO and NAFTA are such organizations promoting free trade at the expense of labour rights and the environment. Consumers in developed countries have been socialized to want more and more things to consume but have not been socialized to appreciate the impact of their consumption choices on the global rights of other people; that is, they are not being responsible for their decisions.

Major factors have caused the global crisis which triggered the planetary state of emergency declared by the Global Community. An important factor is the disconnected with reality, unfair and corrupted governance focusing only on finances, trade and consumption.

The US White House has been running a deficit of nearly a half trillion dollars for a long period of time, and now this annual deficit is well over one trillion dollar this year. Americans have accumulated a nation debt of over 10 trillion dollars. Such state of affairs is actually that of a bankrupted nation. The high deficit was caused in large part by the huge military expenditures, the US war industry. Directly or indirectly, more than half the population of the United States work for the industry.

The global financial crisis has propelled the French Leader and EU Leader to go all around the world to organize a Summit in November 2008, the Summit of all G8 nations, the most industrialized nations, and G20 nations, and 'fix' the crisis.

Now all these G20 leaders are interested in fixing their economies, not the global crisis. They are insterested in money, the stock market, not the people of the world, all life on Earth, the future of the next generations, or the environment. A money fix will not solve the problem. Money is used to deal with goods as an exchange between people, businesses and governments in the world. The problem is not money. The problem is the amount of goods being taken from the Earth, exchanged and consumed, and all the pollution and destruction associated with this process. The problem is the fundamentally wrong economic system created to allow these exchanges to occur for the benefit of a few rich people on the planet and at the expenses of an overpopulated world, the poor and the middle class people, 6.7 billion people, and at the expenses of all life on Earth, the environment, and the global life-support systems. A money fix is not the solution.

Governments in both developed and developing countries have abandoned their historical role of regulating key economic variables as well as ensuring a minimum livelihood for their people. They are no longer sustainable locally. The United Nations failed to make sustainable development a priority in every community on the planet. The global concept of sustainable development that was brought forward in the late 1980s has failed. The US failed it in a big way and the United Nations would not or could not hold on to it.

We are dealing here with a complex and centralized constellation of economic power in which the instruments of market manipulation have a direct bearing on the lives of billions of people. The prices of food, water, fuel are determined at the global level, beyond the reach of national government policy. The price hikes of these three essential commodities constitute an instrument of economic warfare, carried out through the free market. These hikes in the prices of food, water and fuel are contributing in a very real sense to eliminating the poor through starvation deaths. The sugar coated bullets of the free market kill our children. The act to kill is instrumented in a detached fashion through computer program trading on the commodity exchanges, where the global prices of rice, wheat and corn are decided upon.

Those at the helm, the big corporate rulers, and all of those who, directly or indirectly, work for the war industry, are getting bail outs in this financial crisis, not Main Street. Now, as we push the exploitation of the Earth social and environmental systems beyond their limits of tolerance, we face the reality that the industrial era faces a burnout, because it is exhausting the human and natural resource base on which our very lives depend.

We are facing crises of freshwater, food, deforestation, and ocean health. We need leadership in the protection of all our natural resources. All of our natural resources are in peril because of what we do and what that does to our planet. We are facing a fresh water crisis. We are facing a food crisis. We are facing a crisis over deforestation. And we are facing crises in our oceans. While carbon emissions from fossil fuels pollute the air, so does a lot of other stuff. Now is the time to press for leadership in the protection of all our natural resources.

We are facing social crises all over the world and a surge of violent protests from economic upheaval. The global economic crash has already caused plant closings, foreclosures, bank failures, bankruptcies, and caused many tens of millions to be unemployed across the planet. There is an increased civil unrest and ethnic strife everywhere.

Fighting poverty goes hand in hand with fighting climate change; you can't expect people to starve today to save tomorrow's planet.

But all these crises are due to human activities and, truly, to our ways of doing business and trade. Our ways of consuming resources and doing things are the causes of major global problems.

Allowing the corporate sector to review their own activities and conducting their own checks and balances is like letting the fox guard the chicken coop, i.e. multinational corporations have a vested interest in making sure that they make money and go unpunished for breaking all Ten Commandments and much more. By the time we realized it was wrong to choose a world economic model based entirely on profit, it was be too late. The Earth ecosystem, our life-support system, have been destroyed beyond repair. So from now on corporate and societal checks and balances will have to be verified and enforced by the Ministry of the Global Social-Economic Reform (GSER) as a replacement to the globalization system of the G8 nations.

From now on, building global communities for peace require understanding of global problems this generation is facing and be able to do something about that. The mindless destruction of our global life-support systems is more than just a terrorist attack on our security, it is the final blow to all life as we know it. There is no salvation for our Souls after this is happening. There will be no Heaven for Souls aimed at or allowing destruction of life on our planet. The only 'hope' is in the personal efforts everyone must make to know what the problems are and help. We must educate ourselves and help others do the same.

Truly, the US financial crisis had an early beginning in 1945 when a few elites from the White House, war industry, the military and 'Christians of the political right' decided to build the most powerful military organization in the world at the expense of American taxpayers, mostly from the middle class, and at the expense of the global environment and all life on Earth. Greed and wants of this rich elite had no limits. They got protection from the military and thus, a military type of political system, also called the US democratic political system. Since WWII, they forced expansion of the military onto the American middle class taxpayers. But there was never enough money to pay for the mindless expenditures of the military. So successive corrupted White House Administrations borrowed the money. They fudged reasons and created situations in the world to make believe Americans needed these expenditures and the media did the rest. As if the Global Community needs more destruction on our planet. And that has caused and created a huge deficit and national debt to Americans. On September 15, 2008, the world witnessed the beginning of the collapse of Wall Street, but Americans were already bankrupted on that day. The astronomically high military expenditures caused America to be bankrupted. The love-relationship Americans have with their military was not to be blamed for the collapse, and so Wall Street and financial institutions took all the blame. Even Main Street was accused of wrong doing. But not the military!?!! Directly or indirectly, over half the US population now works for the military, and that explains a lot of things. This American cowboy style mentality and economic warfare, that is shoot or bomb first and ask questions later, has spread all over the world. People see working for the military as a salvation. Working for the military, directly or indirectly, created a new class of people in society because working for the military pays well and means long term employment. Since WWII and especially during the worst time of the financial crisis those people working for the military were given preferences and bail-outs, trillions of dollars, never lost their homes and savings, and this was with the approval of the US White House and other governments of the G8 nations. Anyone else lost their jobs, savings, homes, and now live in poverty. The financial crisis showed the world in a flash corruption of the US White House and other G8 nations which created this situation.

The US market took a great hit and pulled the global markets down. The US-style de-regulated corporate capitalism thrives on empowering the most powerful and enriching the richest. Power and wealth never percolates down to the ordinary people, the middle class, more specifically not to those who dont work for the war industry. The few elites from the G8 nations have allowed a de-regulated Wall Street to collapse on its own and swapping off most people savings in the process, pension funds, and retirement funds. Millions of people lost their homes. But not the people working directly or indirectly for the military! Quite the opposite happened! People connected to the military are getting bail outs by the trillions of dollars. They are part of 'a different class in our society', let us called them the 'milt-mid class'. That is the 'military middle class'. Most of them are Christians from the political right. And that makes Christian religion an invading force in the world. Somewhat like our first North America explorers and settlers. As soon as they stepped foot on the newly found continent they said this is ours. Just because someone put a flag on Mount Everest, the Moon or on Mars means that someone owns the mountain, the Moon or planet Mars. Things dont work that way. Unless you are a predator, you know someone who kills other life-fomrs to feed itself. A killer! An invader! Like our first explorers who found the Americas and shut dead the Natives or, if any survive, force them to become Christians . That is what we are doing today. No different! Except now we use WMDs. First, we use the World Bank and the IMF to buy a population with bankrupted money, fake money. Money is the new face of the Christian religion. Not something Christ would have approved of.

And if you believe the American economy will get better because of the trillions of dollars impetus of the new US Administration, dream again America. Actually dont dream! Everytime you dream it destroys life and the planet. Besides, having passed Peak Oil & Gas and going down to less and less oil & gas availability in the world, money will soon be meaning nothing. The dollar will soon be worth less than Zimbabwe money. That's why the US White House never care so much about building an astronomically high national debt and annual deficit. Past US Administrations have known the reality of resources availability on our planet for decades and never care much about sound economic planning because at the end it is meaningless.

That is causing a problem in Canada. The oil and gas industry in Canada is owned by foreigners. Most Canadians will never see the good of the wealth but they will suffer its impacts on the environment and the global warming of the planet. That's right! Just the global warming impacts. This is the proof of how the White House deliberately and strategically from 1947 on, made use of its military and economic warfare to plunder the resources of the Middle East nations and of nations worldwide, including Canada. Somewhat like pirates on high sea attacking a ship. With the approval of the United Nations, of course! They are still trying to make the world believe what they have done was the right thing to do. The next generations of Americans will have to live with the fact that their wealth, their goods, their fake righteousness, their out-of-control lifestyle, their ways of doing things, their prosperous economy over the past decades, their civilization, all of it, is due to the plundering of Iraq, to blood oil and gas, and to the unfair and corrupted globalization system they have created. Blood resources is not the way we should be dealing with the rest of the world. Nothing to be proud of! People used to look up to Americans because they did not know their true faces, and because they were caught in a web of lies of successive White House Administrations. Now they dont!
