Global Law
a) The Portal of the Global Civilization is being researched and developed by members of the Executive Council of Global Ministers and by the Global Community through the Global Dialogue process
b) Global Law: Earth and human rights, Statutes, Codes, Standards, Bills and Other Legislative Information. This WWW site is maintained by the Legislative Counsel of Global Parliament, pursuant to Earth Government Global Law, its legislation. Earth Government Global Law consists of 69 codes, covering various subject areas, the Global Constitution, Bills and Statutes. Information presented reflects laws currently in effect. All Earth
Government Codes have been updated to include Statutes of year 2005. Researched and developed by the Global Community
c) Global Citizens Rights, Responsibility and Accountability Act. Researched and developed by the Global Community
d) Global Constitution. We call upon the national governments and legislatures of the world to ratify the Global Constitution for Earth Government and elect delegates to the House of the Global Governments Federation. Researched and developed by the Global Community
e) Agency of Global Police (AGP).
Building global communities requires a mean to enforce global law that protects all life on Earth. Researched and developed by the Global Community
f) Global Protection Agency (GPA).
Global Protection Agency will train and lead a global force, bypassing traditional peacekeeping and military bodies such as the United Nations and NATO. This is a great opportunity for globallateralism. Researched and developed by the Global Community
g) Global Community Earth Government: Politics and Justice without borders.
Prosecuting criminals on the basis of universal jurisdiction regardless of a territorial or nationality nexus requires a solid commitment of
political will from national governments and the Global Community. The Earth Court of Justice
will hear cases involving crimes related to the global ministries. The Court will have a dual role: to settle in accordance with international law the legal disputes
submitted to it by national governments, local communities, and in some special cases by corporations, non-government-organizations and citizens, and to give advisory
opinions on legal questions referred to it by duly authorized organs and agencies. Researched and developed by the Global Community

Grassroots Women International Women’s Day 2007 Statement
Strengthen Women’s Resistance: Oppose Imperialism’s Intensifying Attacks! Assert Women’s Basic Human Rights!
In Canada, a patriarchal resurgence and ever-more entrenched systemic racism are intensifying the exploitation, oppression, and economic exclusion of working class, (im)migrant, refugee and Indigenous women. We are hard hit by
the neo-liberal policies of the Canadian government of liberalization, deregulation and privatization which leave working class women unable to earn a decent income or to access affordable housing, health, and other services. Amidst
rising corporate profiteering, government corruption, and military spending, government funding for childcare and women’s programs have been slashed. The insultingly paltry and unjustly distributed $100/month childcare benefit
has been a slap in the face for women demanding a genuinely universal national childcare program. (Im)migrant and refugee women face the punitive and exploitative nature of immigration policies such as the Live-in Caregiver
Program and unjust deportations. Indigenous women face the ongoing colonization of their land and resources.
5. The Crime of War in Iraq , by DR. Charles Mercieca , International Association of Educators for World Peace,
Professor Emeritus, Alabama A and M University,
Environmental Protection, Human Rights & Disarmament
What is the purpose of having rules and regulations when we can disregard them at will at any moment we like? Since the early days of human existence, those that transgressed rules and regulations to the detriment of others always tended to be punished, sooner or later. In order for us to understand the seriousness of such violations, we need to understand properly the significance
of laws. In order to do that, we must have a clear concept of the four hierarchical laws of which ascetical writers spoke over the past several centuries.
6. Is towards a totally spiritually ethical politics possible? Letter sent by Livia Varju, Universal Alliance Servitor for Switzerland, to the Global Community
7. GREAT SHIFT OF POWER, by Triaka Smith,
The CONSTITUTION of UNITED DIVERSITY, The New Earth Cooperative
To explain, since "Justice" is the principle of Moral
Rightness, its a rational view that to force a human being
into submission when that person has neither threatened
nor caused harm to others, is both Irrational Enslavement
and Morally Unjust. In this connection, it's worth noting
that while civilized people have voluntarily agreed to make
illegal the Initiation of Physical Force by one human upon
another, as in murder, rape, and robbery, no government
on earth has yet been held to the same Moral Standard.

Global Politics
1. A Predator Becomes More Dangerous When Wounded, by Noam Chomsky, with The Guardian, and published in Countercurrents.org
For the US, the primary issue in the Middle East has been, and remains, effective control of its unparalleled energy resources.
A US attack on Iran would effectively launch WWIII. The US invasion of Iraq virtually instructed Iran to develop a nuclear deterrent. The message was that the US attacks at will, as long as the target is defenceless.
Then again, a predator becomes even more dangerous, and less predictable, when wounded. In desperation to salvage something, the Bush administration might risk even
greater disasters. It has created an unimaginable catastrophe in Iraq. It has been unable to establish a reliable client state within, and cannot withdraw without facing the possible loss of control of the Middle East's energy resources.
2. Losing Focus: Peace And Justice Movement In Britain At Crossroad, by Ramzy Baroud, author of The Second Palestinian Intifada: A Chronology of a People’s Struggle published in Countercurrents.org
I believe that the action of a true peace and justice activist must stem from concern for humanity, not from racism and prejudice; however, to suppress freedom of expression, settle personal grievances at the expense of a most colorful and ideologically diverse movement, thus the honorable cause it stands for,
is to do an immense disservice to all of us concerned with bringing to a halt a most bloody and raging conflict in the Middle East.

What is the purpose of having rules and regulations when we can disregard them at will at any moment we like? Since the early days of human existence, those that transgressed rules and regulations to the detriment of others always tended to be punished, sooner or later. of laws. In order to do that, we must have a clear concept of the four hierarchical laws of which ascetical writers spoke over the past several centuries.

The human appetite for seafood has intensified and so has overfishing and damage to marine ecosystems. Recently, the response to the
fisheries crisis has included a considerable effort directed toward raising the seafood awareness of consumers in North America and
Europe. The resulting campaigns aim to affect the seafood demand and to lead to a sustainable seafood supply. Though there are
indicators of some regional successes, lack of support by the Asian market and the proliferation of self-serving seafood labels are but two
of the many significant limitations of these campaigns. This contribution investigates the difficulties and successes of seafood awareness
campaigns, as well as the need for indicators of campaign effectiveness. Published by Marine Policy, the leading journal of ocean policy studies. Marine Policy

Livestock’s long shadow: environmental issues and options This report aims to assess the full impact of the livestock sector on environmental problems, along with potential technical and policy approaches to mitigation. The assessment is based on the most recent and complete data available, taking into account direct impacts, along with the impacts of feed crop agriculture required for livestock production.
The livestock sector emerges as one of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems, at every scale from local to global. The findings of this report suggest that it should be a major policy focus when dealing with problems of land degradation, climate change and air pollution, water shortage and water pollution, and loss of biodiversity.
Livestock’s contribution to environmental problems is on a massive scale and its potential contribution to their solution is equally large. The impact is so significant that it needs to be addressed with urgency. Major reductions in impact could be achieved at reasonable cost.

Energy aspects and issues
It has been unable to establish a reliable client state within, and cannot withdraw without facing the possible loss of control of the Middle East's energy resources.

potentially available to us, but only if we make the decision to develop it swiftly and on a very large scale.

It's unlikely that the future is going to be a linear extrapolation of the present, but I've pretty well arrived at the conclusion that the diversity and power of the stresses that we're encountering are going to cause some major volatility. I expect social, political, economic and technological crises and breakdowns. It's hard to say what they're going to look like, but the probability of some major problems developing is rising.

The Global Community proposes a Green Tax Shift Policy Approach to financing local-to-global public goods. There is a troublesome and painful contradiction in the lives of many of us who are working for
peace, justice, poverty eradication, debt cancellation and sustainable development. While our hearts and minds focus on building a better world for everyone, each day we hand over fistfuls of dollars to build
weapons of mass destruction, fuel dangerous, dirty and polluting technologies, and subsidize huge conglomerates which concentrate the wealth of the world in the control of the few. But together we can end
tax tyranny and align our visions and values with how we finance our governments.
The Global Community was looking for a method of raising global taxes, of redistributing incomes to the poorest communities, of providing debt-free technical assistance to non-industrial and developing
countries to help them out of poverty and to meet environmental and social standards, but there it was all along right on our eyes.

The Sea Around Us Project, The Fisheries Centre, University of British Columbia, 2202 Main Mall, Vancouver, BC, Canada V6T 1Z4
