The ECO Award is a global award given yearly by the Global Community for achievements in several categories.

Again this year we reward both 'soft global activism' with relevant scientific efforts and balance journalism reporting in the different categories. The end product is all about educating ourselves and the public to give humanity, all life on Earth, a better future.

Dear Sir,

First of all, let me express my sincere gratitude for considering and selecting me for the ECO award and for including my article " Wars and Climate Change: National Interests Verses Global Emergency" in your website.

It is inspiring that we are all unified by the shared concerns and aspiration for the well being of the humanity as a whole and future of its existence on this planet.

Secondly, I want to share certain points raised in the responses that I received for this essay.

There is a justifiably huge sense of frustration and distrust with the present world leadership and the ruling class including corporates. And this frustration and disappointment seems to be influencing our response and actions to counter the social ills that are widespread.

Since in this essay, I have appealed to the very powers that have made a mess of this earth, some of my readers were upset and I could feel the enormity of the disillusionment from their responses. Irrespective of our feelings, we have to acknowledge the fact that the decisions of these very ruling class and corporates have affected and influenced our lives and society.

I want to emphasize that, humankind have reached a juncture wherein we have to face too many grave problems simultaneously. We have to face at the same time arrogance and oppression of ruling class and some of powerful nation states, the exploitation of the corporate and along with that the challenges to the existence of humankind due to climate change and global warming. Due to these overwhelming issues, its time the world community give due priority to the serious existential crises over other social issues.

And I strongly believe that peace and unity above all confines are some of the important weapons for tackling the threat to existence to humankind due to climate change..

The recent Bali conference has proved how the interests of some nation states can hold the future of humanity to ransom.

I wish my brothers and sisters Christians, a merry Christmas and a good year for all humanity.

What I learned in 2007:

Although the means are different, men and women have pledged to work for peace.But, in another part of the violence ravaging vies.I would keep the hope, but what makes me in the heart when I think of those who lost their lives or well liked, because of the violence this year.

I would like to remain optimistic, but when I think of those who kills himself and and kill the maximum with them!

Let me look like a horizon full of joy, but when I think of the comparison of initiatives for peace and violence, I find myself so far from reality.

I would dream of a peaceful life among peoples, but by consulting the web, I find more than 2400 sites web that make enemies of life and the rejection of others!

I am convinced that the idealism is divine perfection, but strive to make the minimum realize this behavior.

All my wishes for 2008, brings us a lot of happiness and that we were living brothers and sisters on this planet that we divide and that humanism is our common factor.

Far from any religion, ethnicity, culture and civilization, I wish that every human being to think deeply reconciliation between himself and the others.

je souhaite à mes frères et soeurs les chrétiens ,un joyeux noël et une bonne année pour toute l'humanité.

ce que j'ai appris en 2007 :

Bien que les moyens soient différents hommes et femmes se sont engagés pour oeuvrer pour la paix.

Mais d'une autre part la violence ravage des vies. je voudrais garder l'espoir mais ce qui me fait mal au cœur, quand je pense à ceux qui ont perdu leur vie ou un bien aimé, à cause de la violence de cette année.

Je voudrais rester optimiste, mais quand je pense à ceux qui s'explosent pour mettre fin à leur vie et de tuer le maximum avec eux!!

Je voudrais songer à un horizon plein de joie mais quand je pense à la comparaison des initiatives pour la paix et pour la violence , je me trouve si loin de la réalité.

Je voudrais rêver à une vie pacifique entre les peuples mais en consultant le web je trouve plus de 2400 sites qui fabriquent des ennemis de la vie et le rejet de l'autre!!
