Theme for this month
Pathway to Peace in the world

For centuries Canadian society has shown that the diversity of people, their ways of doing things, can be an advantage to living together, and that the diversity can also bring Peace and prosperity in a nation. Diversity can actually be the root cause of Peace. The Canadian experience has shown that this has been the better way to bring about the event of Peace in the world, and not the military option.

Ministry of Global Peace in government
Canadian Experience is the pathway to Peace in the world
Peace includes many aspects of Life in society
Canadian society today includes a vast diversity of cultural heritages and racial groups. This multicultural diversity is a result of centuries of immigration. Truly, the struggle for the making of Canadian multiculturalism is the Canadian experience and the Canadian identity. Canadian multiculturalism is a symbiotical relationship between Canada, the Canadian people, and the world.

Diversity has been a fundamental characteristic of Canada since its beginnings. At the time of European settlement there were more than 60 Aboriginal nations speaking more than 30 languages. As the French and then the English colonized Canada, treaties were signed that acknowledged Aboriginal nationhood. Linguistic duality was enshrined in law at the earliest stages of the development of the Canadian federation. At a time when it was accepted practice to establish sovereignty through war and cultural domination, there were enough Canadians who believed in the virtues of accommodation and mutual respect to ensure that, with some exceptions, Canada would develop peacefully and the foundations of its diversity would be preserved.

Welcome to your Global Community, our unique world and the only legitimate framework for Earth governance and management.

Global Community is a non-hierarchical nonviolent organization of individuals and organizations that promote the arts, conduct workshops, facilitate nonviolent direct actions, educate, organize, campaign, empower, and aim to rip injustice from its roots. We are delighted to receive new articles, papers, reports, art work, comments, animations, games, and Apps for future Newsletters.

We encourage formats including facilitated groups, photographic, poster and dramatic displays dealing with pertinent themes concerned with the promoting of Global Community values and principles and in in the challenges of community and home development. We need to educate the coming generations with good principles, being compassionate, social harmony and global sustainability being some of them. They are global commons for survival and a basis for humanity's new vision of the world. Please submit your proposals.

Global dialogues are the source of new ideas and finding new ways for our survival and taking along with us other lifeforms on the planet. We promote democracy, fight hunger, terrorism, disease, and human rights abuses. Global Dialogue 2013 theme is concerned about the formation global ministries.

Why a Ministry?

Humanity sees the need to manage world affairs in several aspects of our lives. Today, earquakes, cyclones and other natural disasters, as well as human made global destruction and disasters, require a rapid and efficient response from the world to help those in needs. All of this can be effectively accomplished when the organizational structure of the government of each nation-state includes a Ministry of Global Peace and a Ministry of Essential Services. We can all co-operate together better this way when all people are prepared and able to do so.

Because of the limited quantities of Earth resources to be made available for this generation and the next ones, and because of environmental, climate change, and world population concerns, there is a need to manage the entire process of managing resources. And we all know that the amount of oil left in the ground in the world has already passed its peak quantity. So why waste the oil on doing things we know are nothing but a waste of energy and often use for destruction and certainly will shortened the life span of the next generations. A Global Resources Ministry is needed to look after the management of Earth resources at all stages: exploration, production, transportation, manufacturing and distribution.

Revised web site of Global Community
The new Global Community web site now automatically adapts its layout to different screen sizes, orientations, and resolutions, and for various desktop browsers and mobile devices such as the iPhone, Android phone, and tablets. Click on GCactivities to visit the new web site. Please do test it. But if you use a mobile device such as the iPhone, do not click on any link on the new web site as the contents were designed only for desktop computers. Many of those links will ask you to download an animation of several MBs in size and might freeze your device. Global Community is still in infancy when in comes to designing Apps for mobil devices. So you can read what is on the new website but dont try to link on the contents with a cell phone.

For those with tablets and desktop computers, now you can read our Current News and Newsletters, watch our animations and play our video games and Apps anywhere safe you go (please not while driving). We have a series of new animations and Apps in plan for this year all of which are aimed at educating this generation and the coming generations in the ways of Global Community. From now on we will also do our very best to design new Apps with mobil devices in mind.

Please help us evaluate our new web site by completing the following short survey form. We will use your feedback to determine how we can improve our services to you. Thank you for volunteering your time.
